Since March, 1, 211 new vehicles produced by automakers BYD and Geely have been shipped from Changsha New Port to overseas markets, including Brazil, Kuwait, and the UAE. Changsha New Port has been continuously enhancing its roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) service system, providing high-quality and efficient services that act as a catalyst for accelerating the global expansion of Chinese new energy vehicles.

The photo, taken on March 19, shows BYD new energy vehicles are lined up and driving onto the "Gangda 6" ro-ro ship one by one at the Ro-Ro Terminal of Changsha New Port. They are ready to set sail for the UAE.

This year, Changsha New Port Co., Ltd. has established regular partnerships with automakers including SAIC Volkswagen, BYD, Geely, Beijing Hyundai, Dongfeng Yueda, and GAC Aion, leveraging "water-to-water transshipment" and "water-land intermodal transport" to integrate with the Yangtze River Ro-Ro Corridor. By implementing precise scheduling of port resources and pioneering a "port-shipping coordination + green channel" service mechanism, the port has proactively aligned with the needs of automotive manufacturers. These efforts have enhanced operational efficiency, upgraded dedicated storage facilities, and strengthened dynamic coordination, effectively ensuring the quality and efficiency of exported commercial vehicle loading and unloading operations. To date, the port's total throughput of commercial vehicles has reached 7,289 units.
