01|Macy's innovation is paying off
Recently, the US department store Macy's announced the new quarter results. Online resale platform ThredUp has partnered with GlobalData to release its 13th resale report. According to the report, the global second-hand apparel market is expected to reach $367 billion by 2029, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10%. In addition, the second-hand apparel market grew 14% in 2024, marking the strongest annual growth rate since 2021 and growing five times faster than the overall retail apparel market. 02|Luxury brands are raising prices
Citibank's latest research shows that a number of luxury brands have raised their product pricing by the end of February 2025. Among them, Prada and Balenciaga prices rose by about 4%, and Swiss watch brand Omega rose by 6%.
