Zhengzhou's industrial sector witnessed a surge of technological breakthroughs in the first quarter of this year, driven by the burgeoning momentum in computing power, artificial intelligence, and new energy. Prioritizing technological innovation, the city is propelling industries towards the higher end of the value chain and accelerating the cultivation of new productive forces.

In the first quarter, the added value of strategically emerging industries, high-tech industries, and high-tech manufacturing among enterprises above designated size increased by 11.5%, 11.1%, and 9.6% year-on-year, respectively. Investment in emerging industries continues to expand, with investment in high-tech manufacturing soaring by 34.7%.

Recent data from the National Bureau of Statistics of China shows Henan produced a total of 167,600 NEVs in the first quarter, ranking tenth nationwide.
