The 2024 China's County-level Education Development Index Report was recently released at the 2024 Forum for Education Policy Think Tanks and Education Governance. After a comprehensive assessment based on 58 indicators in six systems, Changsha County topped among the top 100 counties in terms of both the comprehensive index of education and the index of education quality.

Changsha County has rolled out measures for the introduction and cultivation of educational talents. The county has publicly recruited 1,160 teachers, among whom 25.75% hold master's degrees. It has introduced 185 college graduates, of whom 96.7% hold master's degrees. Eleven famous principals (teachers) were introduced, and 150 outstanding teachers were selected and employed.

Changsha County has also made great efforts to attract high-quality educational brands. The county has introduced high-quality brand schools in recent years, including Changjun High School, Yali High School, and the High School Attached to Hunan Normal University. Twenty-five schools (kindergartens) in the county have established cooperative relationships with 19 high-quality brand schools provincewide. The Changsha WES Academy and the Cogdel Cranleigh School Changsha were set up to meet the needs of the children's education of foreign employees.

Changsha County has given priority to the education development, narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas, regions, schools, and groups. Over the past three years, the county has invested 11.073 billion CNY in building and expanding 17 schools, adding 30,110 public compulsory enrollments. According to statistics, nearly 3,000 students from outside the county transferred to Changsha County to study this fall. Among them, about 2,400 students without Changsha County residential registration transferred to study in the county, an increase of 4.5 times compared with previous years. About 600 students with Changsha County residential registration returned to study in the county, up 2.6 times compared with previous years.
