Evie Templeton gets free fireworksfor her birthday every year, whether she wants them or not. The name Evie was actually derived from the fact that she was born on New Year's Eve, in Barbados.

Every year, as the calendar year turns the page to a new chapter, so does Templeton. “So yes, free fireworks on my birthday,” she says. “Or at least, I pretend they’re for me.”

Talking to Teen Vogueabout winning the part, she said: "I was a hugefan of season 1. I would say it was quite a lengthy process, but obviously worth it in the end. It started with a self-tape, as most things do nowadays. And then I had an in-person and then a couple of Zoom calls, and my final audition was a chemistry read with Emma and Jenna, which was incredible. It felt very surreal."

她在接受《Teen Vogue》采访时谈到自己拿下这个角色时说：“我是第一季的超级粉丝。整个试镜过程算是挺漫长的，但最后一切都很值得。最开始是自我录制的视频试镜，现在很多项目都是这样。之后我参加了现场试镜，又有几次 Zoom面试，最后一次是和 Emma、Jenna 一起的对手戏，那真是一次难以置信的经历，感觉特别不真实。”

“I’m incredibly excited. It’s like opening a different chapter of my life. It’s honestly a little bit scary, but I’m really looking forward to it. To gain this kind of once-in-a-lifetime opportunity when you’re 16 years old is incredibly surrealand rare. I’m just trying to make the most of it and enjoy every second, and not rush anything,” she says with a laugh. “Acting is something that I really love, so hopefully it’ll be a big part of my future.”
