From September 12–13, the 9th Aviation Africa Summit was successfully held, attracting more than 2,100 participants from 97 countries, including 52 African nations, 115 airlines, 382 airline/operator representatives, 120 exhibitors, as well as 34 CAA Director Generals, 14 Air Chiefs, and 10 Ministers of Aviation.

The World UAV Federation (WUAVF) actively joined the summit, with President Jincai Yang and Director of International Department Euan Yao participating in key sessions and dialogues. The Federation emphasized the role of UAVs and the low-altitude economy in empowering Africa’s aviation sector, supporting regional connectivity, and driving digital transformation.

The discussions showcased how China–Africa cooperation in drones and low-altitude infrastructure can create new opportunities in areas such as logistics, security, agriculture, and wildlife protection. WUAVF highlighted Shenzhen’s achievements as a global UAV innovation hub and invited African partners to participate in the upcoming Digital City World Congress 2025 in Shenzhen.
