On December 22nd, after a five-year break, the Dongguan Marathon made a triumphant return, drawing 22,000 running enthusiasts from acrossChina. This year's event featured a marathon, a half marathon, and a joy run. For the first time, it also included the Greater Bay Area Accessible Run, which had a separate award for disabled participants. 22,000 runners enjoyed the scenic route, known as the "most beautiful urban track," while experiencing the vibrant spirit of "Double Ten Thousand Dongguan."

The redesigned racecourse connected Dongguan's iconic cultural landmarks and distinctive buildings, blending trendy elements throughout. Participants not only ran but also soaked in the unique atmosphere of the city. Along the route, cultural energy stations played lively music and hosted dance performances, with cheering spectators fueling the runners' spirits. Music groups and dance teams took turns to keep the energy high for every participant.

The race also spotlighted 16 running teams from various industries. Representatives from various professions such as scientists, medical staff, teachers, police officers, couriers, and sanitation workers came together to show the heart and soul of the city through their participation. "Running helps me relieve stress in my free time," said Liao Xinming, a member of the engineering team. Cai Hui, a member of the sanitation team, said, "After more than 20 years in sanitation, this is my first time in the Dongguan Marathon, and I'm both happy and proud."
A special feature this year was the "One in 200 Million" running team, made up of individuals who have contributed to Dongguan's growth since the reform and opening up. They raced along the "Glory Course," a tribute to those who have worked hard for the city's development.

A highlight of the event was the Accessible Run, which brought together participants with disabilities from across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. With the support of their guide runners, they completed the special race with incredible determination. Visually impaired runner Liu Fulin shared, "Running a marathon is like having a conversation with solitude. I enjoy the experience and hope to inspire others to live healthier lives." This event helped encourage more disabled individuals to step outside and join in the community, emphasizing Dongguan's inclusive approach to caring for all of its residents.

12月22日,阔别五年的东莞马拉松以全新姿态回归,吸引了来自全国的22000名跑步爱好者。本届莞马设置了全程马拉松、半程马拉松和欢乐跑三个项目,并首次举办粤港澳大湾区(东莞)无障碍跑活动,为残障选手单独设奖。22000名选手沿着被誉为“最美城市赛道”的路线畅快奔跑,体验“双万东莞”的城市魅力。
经过全面优化的赛道串联起东莞市的文化地标和特色建筑,同时融入丰富的潮流元素,跑友们不仅挥洒汗水,还可以沉浸在东莞独特的城市氛围中。赛道沿途文化加油站劲歌热舞,观众的欢呼声此起彼伏,为选手们注入源源不断的动力。阿童木乐队、声梦乐团等音乐团体与舞蹈团队轮番上阵,将动感和激情传递给每一位参赛者。
在赛道上,还有16个行业跑团成为焦点。科技工作者、医护人员、教师、警察、快递小哥、环卫工人等各行各业的代表汇聚一堂,用脚步丈量城市的温度。“在工作之余,能够跑一跑,缓解一下自己的压力。”工程师跑团成员廖新明说。环卫跑团成员蔡辉感慨道:“从事环卫工作二十多年,这是我第一次参加莞马,既开心又自豪。”
今年莞马还特别邀请了改革开放以来为东莞建设作出贡献的奋斗者组成“2亿分之一”跑团,跑过属于奋斗者的“荣耀赛道”。
作为今年的亮点,无障碍跑活动吸引了粤港澳大湾区各城市的残健人士携手参赛,在陪跑员的协助下,他们以坚韧的精神完成了这场特别的比赛。视障选手刘富林分享道:“跑马拉松就是一场与孤独对话,我享受这种感觉,也希望为身边人树立健康生活的榜样。”这一活动让更多残障人士走出家门,融入社会,也彰显了东莞关怀每一位城市居民的包容理念。
