The Embassy of Belgium in Beijing is looking to recruit anayi
Position: ayi – member of the operations team of the Embassy (chancery and residence) and responsible for maintenance (cleaning) and assisting with events (serving food and drinks)
Location: Embassy of Belgium, Sanlitun Lu 6, 100600, Beijing

Job Description
Your principle responsibilities will include among others:
·Maintenance and cleaning of the Embassy (both Chancery offices and Ambassador’s Residence)
·Stock management of cleaning products – alerting hierarchy when new products are needing to be purchased
·Assisting with events organised at the Embassy or the Residence: preparing for the event (setting up tables and tableware), welcoming guests (staffing cloakroom), assisting with the serving of food and drinks, clearing away after the event.
Practical details
·Gross monthly salary: starting from 8.000,00 RMB (subject to experience and skills a higher starting salary will be offered)
·Benefits: 22 days paid annual leave as well as End of Year bonus
·Working hours: 8 hours per day on weekdays, including 1 hour lunchbreak, according to a flexible schedule
·Initial 1 year local contract (renewable)
·You will be part of a motivated team, where there is room for initiative and your own input
·No allowances for housing costs or holiday transportation
·Estimated starting date: The position will be available from March 2025
Selection Procedure
After a pre-screening based on CV, selected candidates will be invited for oral interview.
Required Degree and Competences
Basic knowledge of English would be an asset
Attention to detail and the ability to treat information with the necessary discretion
Be a team player, flexible, driven and dynamic
Previous working experience in a similar position for an Embassy (chancery or residence) would be an asset
Knowledge of protocol (table setting, table serving…) would be an asset
