In 2024, Guangdong's gaming industry achieved a revenue of 260.431 billion yuan, marking a 6.26% increase year-on-year and accounting for 79.94% of China's total gaming industry revenue.
Among this, mobile gaming revenue reached 196.782 billion yuan, representing 82.61% of the national mobile gaming income and maintaining a market share of over 80% for three consecutive years. Client-based game revenue stood at 60.16 billion yuan, comprising 88.5% of the national total. Notably, mini-program games emerged as a new growth driver, with Guangdong's mini-program game revenue reaching 26.292 billion yuan in 2024, a staggering 119.1% increase year-on-year, and accounting for 66% of the national share.
Additionally, revenue from other types of games, including console games, amounted to 1.406 billion yuan. Industry expert Lu Xiaokun highlighted that the success of the domestic 3A console game "Black Myth: Wukong" indicates significant market potential in this sector, which could become a new growth point for the industry in the future.
Guangdong's gaming companies demonstrated strong performance, with Tencent firmly in the top tier of revenue over 100 billion yuan, followed by NetEase and 37 Interactive Entertainment in the second tier. Sixteen companies surpassed the billion-yuan revenue mark, and more than 20 companies achieved annual revenues of over 100 million yuan. The number of publicly listed gaming companies reached 27, leading in China.
Guangdong's gaming exports also shone brightly. In 2024, overseas market revenue reached 42.36 billion yuan, a 9.9% increase year-on-year, marking rapid growth in recent years. Lu Xiaokun noted that high-quality competitive, social, and RPG games developed by leading companies like Tencent and NetEase performed exceptionally well in the global market, particularly achieving success in Japan (accounting for 31.04% of overseas revenue), North America, and the Republic of Korea.

2024年,广东游戏产业在实现营收2604.31亿元,同比增长6.26%,占中国游戏产业营收总额的79.94%。
其中,移动游戏营收1967.82亿元,占全国移动游戏收入的82.61%,连续三年保持超过80%的市场份额。客户端游戏收入601.6亿元,占全国88.5%。值得注意的是,小程序游戏成为新增长点,2024年广东小程序游戏营收262.92亿元,同比增长119.1%,占全国比重达66%。
此外,其他类型(含主机)游戏营收14.06亿元,行业专家鲁晓昆指出,国产3A主机游戏《黑神话:悟空》的成功表明该领域市场潜力巨大,或成为未来行业的新增长点。
广东游戏企业表现强劲,腾讯稳居营收千亿级第一梯队,网易、三七互娱位列第二梯队,16家企业营收突破十亿级,另有超20家企业年营收超过亿元。上市游戏企业数量达27家,全国领先。
广东游戏出海同样亮眼。2024年海外市场营收达423.6亿元,同比增长9.9%,实现近年来的快速增长。鲁晓昆指出,腾讯、网易等头部企业开发的高质量竞技、社交及RPG游戏在全球市场表现优异,特别是在日本(占出海收入31.04%)、北美和韩国等地区取得佳绩。
