This marked the beginning of the 2025 initiative by the Guangdong government to organize special trains and chartered buses for migrant workers to return home and to their jobs. This Spring Festival, Guangdong will arrange 30 special trains and over 300 chartered bus trips to ensure a smooth journey for migrant workers.

"I am a person who has been lifted out of poverty, and I regularly receive follow-up service calls from the government, inquiring about the stability of my job and whether I need career guidance. I am particularly touched by this," said Xiao Feng, who works at a financial agency in Shenzhen. He has been working in Guangdong for nearly 5 years. He mentioned that the company has a great working atmosphere, harmonious colleague relationships, and good compensation, and he plans to return to Guangdong to continue his career after the New Year.

Ms. Guo, who came to Guangdong with relatives in 2006, has been working at a textile company in Zhongshan for over 10 years. "My family is here, and I consider myself a half-Zhongshan resident. The company now offers 'mom positions,' and the benefits are getting better and better," she said. Upon learning about the government-organized special train for returning home this year, her entire family registered immediately. "These activities organized by the government are very considerate, saving us the trouble of scrambling for tickets during the Spring Festival travel rush and also saving us money."

The scale of migrant workers in Guangdong exceeds 43 million, including over 24 million migrant workers from other provinces. In recent years, Guangdong has strengthened public employment services. To date, the province has established 1,050 various employment stations, about 400 casual labor markets, and service sites, bringing public employment services to the grassroots level and right to the doorstep of the people.

The attraction for migrant workers to seek employment in Guangdong lies in the "abundance of opportunities." Wu Hua, who graduated from a secondary vocational school in 1998, immediately signed up when he heard that a Guangdong company was recruiting at his school, and became one of the first students from his school to find employment in Guangdong. After years of focusing on mechanized processing and automation, he has grown into an outstanding engineer and has been rated as a mid-level worker. In 2018, Wu Hua decided to start a business with friends. "The automation-related supply chain and industrial supporting resources in Guangdong are relatively complete, which is very helpful for our entrepreneurship. The rapid development of the industry also broadens our horizons and promotes the continuous upgrading of our products and services."

After the festival, Guangdong will also organize more than 2,000 recruitment activities in various forms. Twenty public employment service capacity improvement demonstration points and five provincial standardized casual labor markets will take the lead in holding recruitment activities according to different industries, regions, and professions.

“广东年后见！”1月12日6时32分，载有约700名湖北荆门籍在粤务工人员的G1136次列车驶离广州南站。这标志着广东拉开了2025年政府部门通过专列包车组织在粤务工人员返乡返岗的大幕。今年春节，广东将组织30趟专列、300多班次包车，畅通在粤务工人员返乡返岗路。

“我是脱贫人员，会不定期接到政府部门的跟踪服务电话，关心我的工作是否稳定、是否需要提供职业指导等，对此，我特别感动。”就职于深圳市一家财务代理公司的小冯表示，自己已在广东工作了近5年，公司工作氛围很好，同事关系融洽，待遇也比较高，年后将回广东继续发展。

2006年跟着亲戚来到广东的郭女士，目前已在中山一家纺织品公司工作10多年。“家人都在这边，我也算半个中山人。公司现在推行妈妈岗，福利待遇越来越好。”她表示，得知今年政府组织返乡专列的信息，全家人第一时间报名，“政府组织的这些活动很贴心，既省去了自己春运期间抢票的麻烦，也节省了一笔钱”。

广东外来务工人员规模超4300万，其中外省在粤农民工2400多万。近年来，广东强化公共就业服务，截至目前全省建成各类就业驿站1050个、零工市场和零工服务站点约400个，将公共就业服务下沉到基层、延伸到群众家门口。

吸引务工人员到粤就业正是因为“广东机会多”。1998年中专毕业的伍华，得知粤企到学校招工后立马报名，成为该校第一批到广东就业的学生。深耕机械化加工、自动化多年，他已成长为出色的工程师，并获评中级工。2018年，伍华决定和朋友创业。“广东自动化相关供应链、产业配套资源比较完善，对我们创业很有帮助，产业的飞速发展也让我们眼界更加开阔，推动我们产品、服务不断升级。”

节后广东还将组织举办多种形式招聘活动超过2000场，20个公共就业服务能力提升示范点和5家省级标准化零工市场将率先举办分行业、分区域、分专业等各类招聘对接活动。
