The Third Session of the 14th Hunan Provincial People's Congress opened ceremoniously at the People's Hall of Hunan Province at 9:00 a.m. on January 14, 2025.

Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, and executive chairperson of the Presidium of the Third Session of the 14th Hunan Provincial People's Congress, presided over the conference.
Governor Mao Weiming on behalf of the provincial people's government made a work report.

Deputies to the provincial people's congress, shouldering the ardent expectations of the people across Hunan Province and highlighting the blueprint outlined in the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy, entered the venue with confidence and in high spirits. They will fulfill their duties to contribute to writing Hunan's own chapter in advancing Chinese modernization.
