The 37th Hundred Flowers Awards ceremony has made history as the first to utilize exclusively 8K-channel cameras for large-scale 8K broadcasting in China. This impressive achievement in ultra-high-definition (UHD) broadcasting is a result of nearly four years of dedicated efforts from the technical team at the Industrial Alliance of Guangdong UHD Video front-end innovation center (hereinafter referred to as the "IAGUFIC").

The center has developed China's first domestically produced 5G + 8K + 3D VR UHD outside broadcasting van, boasting an import substitution rate of over 70% for the entire vehicle and over 85% for its core components. This development not only breaks the monopoly of imported products in the UHD broadcasting sector but also introduces the world's first group standard for "Technical requirements and measurement methods of 8K UHDoutside broadcasting van," filling a significant gap in this field on the international stage.

Traditionally, UHDoutside broadcasting van in China have relied largely on imported products. China urgently needs to establish a fleet of UHD outside broadcasting van with independent intellectual property rights and achieve its domestic industrialization.

This OB truck integrates a comprehensive 8K UHD broadcasting production system. The design and equipment selection of the entire system were independently completed by the center's technical team. For the first time, all core and key equipment in the 8K UHD video system chain has been entirely domestically produced. The system supports real-time 8K, 50P, VR image stitching, correction, and output, provides on-site color grading solutions for 8K live broadcasts, and upgrades the 8K field production quality standard system, meeting the demands for 8K UHD video and 3D VR production broadcasting systems.

The applications of UHD broadcasting technology extend beyond the radio and television sectors. It can be utilized in various fields such as manufacturing, healthcare, education, and conferencing.

This technology has already been tested in several hospitals. For instance, during a meaningful surgical procedure, the operation can be live-streamed globally using 3D VR cameras set up in the operating room. Viewers only need to wear VR glasses to immerse themselves in every detail of the surgery. Moreover, with the capability for UHD broadcasting, smaller broadcasting systems can cater to the diverse application needs of clients.

该转播车集成了一整套8K超高清转播制作系统设备，其全系统方案设计及设备选型由该中心技术团队自主完成，8K超高清视频系统链路相关核心、关键设备首次实现全国产化，不仅支持实时8K、50P、VR影像拼接校正和输出，提供8K实时现场影像级调色解决方案，还全面升级了8K现场制作画质标准系统，可满足8K超高清视频和3D VR制作转播系统需求。
