Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, inspected enterprises development in Changsha on February 5, 2025, the first working day after the Spring Festival holiday. Governor Mao asked to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference; carry out the arrangements made by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and at the Hunan annual "two sessions"; and, promote Hunan's economic and social development through efforts in seven key areas. He called for making the most and seizing every minute to advance early implementation of policies, projects, and measures, aiming for a good start in the first quarter of the new year, so as to lay a solid foundation for accomplishing the annual goals and tasks.

Governor Mao noted that progress in the first quarter is the "wind vane" for annual economic growth, and the "first baton" for achieving annual goals and tasks. We should properly and fully take advantage of the policy dividends. Efforts should be made to proactively implement a series of major national policies; enhance policy matchmaking, coordination, and fulfillment; and, maximize the impact of these "golden" policies to convert them into real productivity.

We should pay attention to investment attraction and project construction. Governor Mao highlighted the importance of quality and efficiency in project construction, stressing the contracted projects to be implemented as early as possible, reserved projects to be consolidated for pre-production, newly-started projects to be built as soon as possible, under-construction projects to be expedited, and completed projects to be operated soon, so as to make more pragmatic progress.

He also focused on the "4×4" modernized industrial system construction, calling for introducing a number of large, good, and authentic projects to promote industrial upgrading, ecological cultivation, driving force accumulation.

We should strengthen scheduling and service. Governor Mao asked to enhance monitoring, analysis, and precise scheduling of the economic operation of key regions, industries, and enterprises; guarantee the financial, energy, labor, and other factors; launch normalized campaigns of serving the grassroots, enterprises, and the public, aiming at solving their difficulties, major concerns, and focal points; and, fully support enterprises to fulfill orders, ensure supply, and expand market.
