Recently, a survey jointly conducted by the Social Survey Center of China Youth Daily and wenjuan.com among 1,001 parents revealed that 85.8% of them consider it crucial to enhance primary and secondary school science education. Alarmingly, 62.9% noted that science is still seen as a minor subject by some. To improve the situation, 60.6% proposed innovating teaching approaches, and 55.9% advocated for interdisciplinary teaching. These figures not only highlight the current state of science education but also mirror parents' aspirations, shedding light on the path to better educational reform.
