The 2025 Hunan Industrial Belt Platform Event kicked off in Changsha on March 6. The event aimed to integrate resources of global leading e-commerce platforms and promote connectivity between buyers from coastal cities and supply chain enterprises from Hunan, helping Hunan's featured industries explore the global market.

E-commerce platforms including Wal-Mart, Amazon, and eBay and cross-border e-commerce enterprises from coastal cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Ningbo conducted negotiations with Changsha enterprises specialized in finished automotive and spare parts.

"Different market regions have different demands, and internet marketing helps us understand consumers' personalized purchasing needs and habits," said Zhang Lihu, chairman of Hunan Sintoon Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. He mentioned that the company specializes in the niche market for modified vehicles, having exported over 400 modified passenger vehicles in the first two months of 2025. The company aims to gain deeper insights into industry trends related to cross-border operations, Zhang added.

Hunan Newsmy New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has achieved better-than-expected sales growth on e-commerce platforms. Li Qiong, a staff member at the company, stated that cross-border e-commerce business currently accounts for approximately one-third of the company's total sales. One of the company's low-power portable energy storage power supplies topped the sales chart in its category on Amazon Germany in 2023 and has long been listed as an Amazon's Choice product.

Hunan currently has six national cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones in cities of Changsha, Hengyang, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, Yueyang, and Chenzhou. The province has cultivated distinctive industrial clusters such as medical devices and automotive parts in Changsha, clocks and watches and clothes (jeanswear) in Hengyang, as well as bags and luggage (trolley cases) and intangible cultural heritage products in Huaihua.

In 2025, the Hunan Industrial Belt Platform Event is expected to be held across the province, aiming to facilitate 1,000 industrial belt enterprises to open stores on cross-border platforms.
