While showing the pictures, ask students: "Boys and girls, look at these pictures. What sports can you see? Do you like these sports? Which one is your favorite?" Encourage students to answer freely and share their love for different sports. This activity can quickly draw students' attention and arouse their interest in the topic of sports.

After the students' sharing, say: "Sports are really amazing. Every day, there are many exciting sports events happening around the world. And today, we are going to learn some big sports news. Emphasize the importance of sports and encourage students to keep an eye on sports events in their daily lives.
6. Homework
Ask students to write a short paragraph (about 50 80 words) about a sports event they know. They should use at least three new words or phrases they learned in this class.
Suggest students to watch a sports game on TV or online and share their feelings about it in the next class.
VI. Teaching Reflection
After the class, think about whether the teaching methods are suitable for students. Consider if students can actively participate in various activities and whether they can master the new knowledge. Pay attention to students' difficulties in listening, speaking, reading, and using new words. Based on the reflection, adjust the teaching strategies in the next class to make the teaching more effective.
