The owners of this 1980s house in La Moraleja, Madrid, were looking for a home surrounded by nature and tranquility to live with their two children. To do so, they asked Trenchs Studio to completely renovate the house so that it would combine comfort with contemporary design as well as giving them a fluid connection with the outdoors.The building's facade was originally made of beige imitation stone tiles, but now it has been replaced with milky white exterior wall insulation materials, making the building's appearance more concise and coordinated. Three new light metal structure platforms have been added to the top of the building, which are used as the entrance hall, rooftop fitness area and swimming pool lounge area.

The design team positioned the core concept as a functional aesthetic that balances natural tranquility with modern urban design. The owner couple is a hotel industry entrepreneur and a design director of a construction company. The renovated space combines practical functions with artistic style, and the custom-made furniture forms an aesthetic dialogue with the works of artists such as Jaume Plensa and Miró.The design is based on simplicity and warmth, seeking a balance between comfort and aesthetics. From material texture to furniture selection, every detail creates a peaceful family living atmosphere.

设计师以简约温暖的风格为基调，在居住舒适性与视觉美感间取得了完美平衡。

在材质运用方面，设计师采用了明暗对比的手法：以浅色调为基底，搭配深色饰面，再辅以天然材质肌理提升空间质感。将珍珠大理石与烟草色橡木饰板铺陈于地面和天花，厨房与餐厅间的吧台也延续相同材质。此外，青铜五金件、灰色大理石、浅色石英岩操作台，搭配中性色调的亚麻织物和羊毛地毯，共同构建出丰富又细腻的质感层次。

In terms of material application, the designer used a light-dark contrast technique: light tones as the base, dark finishes, and natural textures to enhance the texture of the space. Pearl marble and tobacco-colored oak panels are laid on the floor and ceiling, and the bar between the kitchen and the dining room also uses the same material. In addition, bronze hardware, gray marble, light-colored quartzite worktops, and neutral-toned linen fabrics and wool carpets together create a rich and delicate texture.

采用浅色打底、深色点缀的配色方案，融入天然材质纹理，营造出层次丰富的空间质感。

原建筑底层的大型游戏室经改造成为多功能的社交空间。通过巧妙地重新布局，玄关与客厅及公共区域实现了自然衔接。而在上下楼层衔接处，一座纯白色螺旋楼梯成为整个空间的视觉焦点。

The lower floor, which had a large games room, now houses all the social areas of the house. To achieve this new layout, a space was created that links the hall with the living room and the social areas. Here, a white spiral staircase has become the sculptural heart of the residence.

客厅中央陈列着意大利顶级家具品牌Cassina的经典之作Utrecht扶手椅，为现代客厅空间增添了一抹永恒的设计魅力。

一座造型优雅的纯白色螺旋楼梯矗立于空间中央，成为整个住宅最引人注目的设计亮点。

针对厨房采光不足的问题，设计团队采用木质框玻璃旋转门将其与餐厅间隔起来。这一设计既保证了厨房的功能独立性，也使户外的花园景观能透过透明的玻璃材质引入室内，实现了功能与美学的双重提升。与此同时，在厨房与餐厅之间还设计了一条狭长的室内绿化走廊，既取代了原有的外部楼梯通道，又增添了视觉趣味。

In order to solve the problem of insufficient lighting in the kitchen, the design team used a wooden frame glass revolving door to separate it from the dining room. This design not only ensures the functional independence of the kitchen, but also allows the outdoor garden landscape to be introduced into the room through the transparent glass material, achieving a dual improvement in function and aesthetics. At the same time, a narrow landscape belt is designed between the kitchen and the dining room, which not only replaces the original external staircase passage, but also adds visual interest.

选用木质框玻璃旋转门作为隔断，既明确划分了厨房与餐厅的功能区域，又保持了视觉上的连贯性。

沿着空间向上延伸，设计师巧妙地利用层高变化，在同层相对抬高的区域依次规划了影音室、工作室、酒窖和客房等空间。通过错落有致的空间分布，配合统一的装饰材料和照明设计，既保持了各自的独立性，又形成了自然而流畅的空间过渡序列。

Extending upwards, the designer cleverly utilized the height changes to sequentially plan the audio-visual room, studio, wine cellar, guest room and other spaces in the relatively elevated area of the same floor. Through the well-arranged spatial distribution, combined with the unified decorative materials and lighting design, the independence of each space is maintained while forming a natural and smooth spatial transition sequence.

影音室特别配置了意大利设计大师Piero Lissoni为Living Divani品牌打造的Extrasoft系列沙发，为观影体验提供了完美的坐卧享受。

工作室摆放着Arne Vodder 1960年代设计的经典丹麦书桌，与Cassina出品的Le Corbusier椅子，两者风格协调统一。

酒窖精心配置了Barber & Osgerby为意大利顶级品牌B&B Italia设计的Tobi Ishi系列餐桌，彰显现代品味。

沿着花园层的步道前行，可以直达户外的休闲泳池区。其中，泳池休息区那面借鉴了建筑大师Mies Van der Rohe经典设计风格的巨型装饰墙，以其简约大气的造型，成为整个户外空间最引人注目的视觉焦点。

Walking along the garden-level trail, you can directly reach the outdoor leisure pool area. The giant decorative wall in the pool lounge area draws on the classic design style of the architect Mies Van der Rohe. With its simple and elegant shape, it has become the most eye-catching visual focus of the entire outdoor space.

In terms of furniture configuration, the space has both custom designs by the studio and classics from local Spanish and international brands. Each piece of furniture has been carefully selected to highlight the individual characteristics of the space while maintaining overall visual harmony. Highlights include the Utrecht armchairs from Cassina in the living room, the Extrasoft sofa designed by Piero Lissoni for Living Divani in the audio-visual room, and the Eames lounge chair from Vitra in the study. The wine cellar is furnished with a Tobi Ishi dining table designed by Barber & Osgerby for B&B Italia, while the studio area displays a Danish desk designed by Arne Vodder in the 1960s, paired with Cassina's Le Corbusier chairs.
