Recently, the State Council issued a reply on the Work Plan for Accelerating the Comprehensive Pilot Program for the Expansion and Opening-up of Service Sector. According to the Plan, 9 cities including Xiamen became new pilots besides the existing ones. The service sector is an important indicator to measure the competitiveness of a city. And the proportion of service sector to Xiamen’s GDP has exceeded 60% now, having become the main driving force of economic growth. Xiamen will take the initiative to connect with international high-standard economic and trade rules, and continuously improve the level of trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, to enhance its international competitiveness of service sector and build a brand of "Xiamen Service" as well. Meanwhile, Xiamen will give full play to the advantages of national open platforms, such as the Free Trade Pilot Zone and the BRICS Innovation Base, to promote digital and green development and release new momentum for the development of service sector, relying on national cultural, digital, traditional Chinese medicine, the Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District and some other characteristic bases.

近日，国务院发布关于《加快推进服务业扩大开放综合试点工作方案》的批复。根据方案，在已有试点地区基础上，将厦门市等9个城市纳入试点范围。服务业是衡量一座城市竞争实力的重要指标，目前厦门市服务业在GDP中所占比重已超过六成，成为经济增长的主要拉动力。厦门市将主动对接国际高标准经贸规则，不断提升贸易和投资自由化便利化水平，增强服务业国际竞争力，打造“厦门服务”品牌。同时，厦门市将发挥自贸试验区、金砖创新基地等国家级开放平台的优势，依托国家文化、数字、中医药、海丝中央法务区等特色基地，推进数字化、绿色化发展，释放服务业发展新动能。

As one of China’s 14 renowned software hubs, Xiamen has consistently advanced its artificial intelligence industry through comprehensive policies spanning strategic planning, platform development, and application scenarios, fostering a robust ecosystem for AI growth. In the 2024 China AI City Rankings, Xiamen secured 10th place, with 69 local algorithms approved under the deep synthesis service algorithm filing system, accounting for 75% of Fujian Province’s total. Leveraging existing technological capabilities and application landscapes, the city has pioneered AI integration in urban governance, public services, commerce, logistics, healthcare, and cultural tourism, accelerating innovation through scenario-based implementation.

作为全国14个软件名城之一，厦门市持续推动人工智能产业发展，从顶层设计到具体措施，形成“规划设计—平台建设—场景应用”的全链条政策支持，为人工智能的发展营造了良好的发展环境。在2024年中国人工智能城市排行榜中，厦门位列第10，全市共69个算法通过深度合成服务算法备案，占全省比重75%。近年来，立足现有技术能力和应用场景，厦门积极开展人工智能创新应用发展，加快推进人工智能的应用进程，在城市治理、政务服务、商贸物流、医疗健康、文创旅游等领域推出了一批具有代表性的应用场景，以场景融合建设助推人工智能创新成果推广。

Recently, Computer Science Rankings (CS Rankings for short), a global professional ranking website, updated a list of the best universities in field of computer science in 2024. Xiamen University was on the list, ranking 68th. In addition to global rankings, CS Rankings also classified all research topics into four major directions, including: AI (artificial intelligence), Systems (computer systems), Theory (computer theory), and Interdisciplinary Areas. In artificial intelligence, Xiamen University ranked 37th. CS Rankings is a global website for the rankings of computer science institutions based on various conference paper indicators. It mainly considers the number of papers published by universities and research institutions at top academic conferences in the field of computer science, which to a certain extent reflects the academic influence and international activity of global universities and research institutions in computer science and related fields.

近日，全球计算机协会专业排行网站CS Rankings更新了2024年度计算机领域最佳大学榜单。厦门大学上榜，排名全球第68。除了全球整体排名，CS Rankings 还将所有的研究主题归类为以下四个大方向，分别是：人工智能（AI）、计算机系统（Systems）、计算机理论（Theory）、跨学科领域（Interdisciplinary Areas）。其中在人工智能领域排名中，厦门大学位居全球第37位。CS Rankings是一个基于各种会议论文指标的计算机科学机构的全球性排名网站。它以全球高校和研究机构在计算机领域顶级学术会议上发表的论文数量作为主要依据，在一定程度上反映了全球高校和研究机构在计算机学科和相关方向上的学术影响力和国际活跃度。

On April 16, Hurun Research Institute released the 2024 Hurun China Brand List, featuring 300 domestic brands. Fujian Province claimed eight spots, with Pien Tze Huang leading at a brand value of 29 billion yuan. Three Xiamen-based brands were listed: Luckin Coffee ranked 76th (15 billion yuan), Anjoy Foods at 226th (3.5 billion yuan), and Xiamen Airlines debuted at 286th (2.5 billion yuan).

4月16日，胡润研究院发布《2024胡润品牌榜》，300个中国品牌上榜。福建共有8个品牌上榜，其中片仔癀以290亿元的价值位居福建榜首。厦门有三个品牌上榜，瑞幸咖啡以150亿元的品牌价值排在榜单第76位；安井以35亿元的品牌价值排在榜单第226位；厦门航空以25亿元的品牌价值排在榜单第286位，首次上榜。
