“We created the feeling of warmth by using natural materials to inject colour into the spaces,” Alicia McKimm shares about her own home. The co-founder of interior design studio GOLDEN brings us inside the family home, where function is executed with beauty.

The home was created by Alicia McKimm and her husband, Jon McKimm, the studio's design director, combining their expertise to create a warm, family-focused retreat. The choice of materials balances family life with refined architectural details, with each element creating an environment that is both luxurious and livable.

In the living room, terracotta tiles around the fireplace add warmth. It was polished many times and brought to the ground, giving this space personality and class.

The artwork by Jahnne Pasco-White in our living space is a favourite, chosen during a gallery visit—it perfectly complements our home’s relaxed, informal vibe. Also, the diptych by Morgan Stokes in the lounge provides a sense of calm. The terracotta-toned wax plaster door with a custom Henry Wilson handle is also an unexpected moment when you arrive.

通往上层的楼梯巧妙地将围绕着活动室而建的儿童房与主卧分隔开来，儿童房内的上下床满足了两个孩子平时的休息、学习和娱乐需要。

A staircase to the upper level neatly separates the children's room, which is built around the activity room, from the master bedroom, and the bunk beds in the children's room meet the rest, study and entertainment needs of the two children.
