网友们搬运树苗往沙漠里种植

他们每年在“地球日”这天，从大江南北千里迢迢来到毛乌素，自费购买树苗与殷玉珍劳模一起植树 ，十多年坚持不懈，已经成为自觉行动。

40多年前，19岁的殷玉珍、体重不到45千克的瘦弱女子被嫁到毛乌素沙漠一个农民的“沙窝里”，当年半夜三更，听着狂风怒吼，她嚎啕大哭、几次试图逃离沙漠，最终她还是与丈夫扎根在了沙漠，与命运抗争，她克服千辛万苦，40年如一日种树播绿，如今七万亩荒漠变成绿洲。因此，她从沙漠走进了人民大会堂“全国劳动模范领奖台”，成为治沙英雄。

56个世界“地球日”，来自北京、广东、安徽、山东、深圳、陕西、湖北、江西、内蒙古等地的网友向治沙英雄殷玉珍学习，千里迢迢赶来义务植树。大家都掏钱购买了树苗，在殷玉珍劳模指导下，种下了自己的绿色心愿。

“这是我有生以来做得最兴奋、最激动、最有意义的一天！”。江西景德镇东仁陶瓷艺术家杨建仁先生告诉记者，他是从江西飞北京又从北京飞往呼和浩特，又驱车600多公里到达殷玉珍生态基地。他和三名同伴自掏腰包1232元购买了树苗，亲自将56棵樟子松种植在了毛乌素沙漠的腹地。

广东省佛山市生态公益网友女企业家陈薇羽女士走进毛乌素，与全国劳模殷玉珍一起植树，她说这是她第一次来内蒙古，第一次见到沙漠，第一次认识沙葱这么美的绿色食品，她被殷劳模的事迹深深地感动着……

山东日照人大代表韩帮泰说，我2015年来到这里义务植树，因为在毛乌素沙漠殷玉珍坚守了40多年，她凭一己之力种树绿化7万亩荒漠，而且至今坚守在这片沙漠里，她一定要把“毛乌素变成金乌素”，这种精神难能可贵，这就是蒙古马精神的写照，她是我们学习的榜样，劳模精神就是中国精神。

该活动的策划者清华大学CIMS中心校友、地球村民网生态公益日发起人韩雄亮先生接受媒体采访时说，“2015年地球日，清华大学校友与地球村民网世界各地网友们发起认领荒漠、义务植树行动，先后组织700余人次志愿者种植树苗3万多株大约600多亩，带动了美国、日本、韩国等多个国家和地区的网友参与种植，形成了校友林、企业林、清风林、亲子林、家族林、友谊树、长寿松等30多处”。我们坚信，毛乌素多一棵绿树，首都北京少一粒沙尘。因此，我们以殷玉珍劳模为榜样，发动各地网友走进毛乌素沙漠，携手共建绿色家园。

治沙英雄殷玉珍指导植树

这次植树活动受到了各级地方政府和内蒙古防沙治沙协会的关注与支持。乌审旗人民政府副旗长弥宏卓、旗妇联主席刘萍和旗林草局长吕琪闻讯后也赶到毛乌素沙漠参加了植树活动。

弥宏卓副旗长和全国劳动模范殷玉珍为地球村民网生态公益网友和清华校友颁发了荣誉村民证书。

However, on April 22nd, the Maowusu Desert in Ordos was unexpectedly peaceful and sunny. The weather was perfect because it was World Earth Day, a day when fans and media reporters from all over the country who follow the sand - control hero model worker Yin Yuzhen gathered here, and it was also the public welfare action day of "Learning from Sand - Control Heroes and Planting Green for the Global Village" for netizens and Tsinghua alumni.

Every year on Earth Day, they travel from far and wide to Maowusu at their own expense to buy saplings and plant trees with model worker Yin Yuzhen. They have persevered for more than ten years and this has become their conscious action.

More than 40 years ago, at the age of 19, Yin Yuzhen, a thin woman weighing less than 45 kilograms, was married to a farmer in a "sand nest" in the Maowusu Desert. At midnight, listening to the howling wind, she cried loudly and tried to escape the desert several times. Finally, she and her husband took root in the desert and fought against fate. She overcame countless hardships and has been planting trees and spreading green for 40 years. Now, 70,000 mu of desert has become an oasis. Therefore, she walked from the desert to the rostrum of the "National Model Worker" in the Great Hall of the People and became a sand - control hero.

On the 56th World Earth Day, netizens from Beijing, Guangdong, Anhui, Shandong, Shenzhen, Shaanxi, Hubei, Jiangxi, Inner Mongolia and other places came to learn from the sand - control hero Yin Yuzhen and plant trees voluntarily from afar. Everyone paid to buy saplings and planted their green wishes under the guidance of Model Worker Yin.

"This is the most exciting, thrilling and meaningful day in my life!" Mr. Yang Jianren, a ceramic artist from Dongren, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, told reporters. He flew from Jiangxi to Beijing, then from Beijing to Hohhot, and then drove more than 600 kilometers to Yin Yuzhen's ecological base. He and three companions spent 1,232 yuan of their own money to buy saplings and personally planted 56 Scotch pines in the hinterland of the Maowusu Desert.

Ms. Chen Weiyu, a female entrepreneur and ecological public welfare netizen from Foshan, Guangdong, walked into Maowusu to plant trees with National Model Worker Yin Yuzhen. She said it was her first time in Inner Mongolia, her first time seeing the desert, and her first time knowing such a beautiful green food as sand onions. She was deeply moved by Model Worker Yin's deeds...

Han Bangtai, a deputy to the People's Congress of Rizhao, Shandong, said, "I came here to plant trees voluntarily in 2015. Because Yin Yuzhen has坚守 (stood fast) in the Maowusu Desert for more than 40 years. She has greened 70,000 mu of desert with her own strength and still remains in the desert. She is determined to turn 'Maowusu into Jinwusu'. This spirit is invaluable. This is the portrayal of the Mongolian horse spirit, and she is our role model. The spirit of model workers is the Chinese spirit."

Mr. Han Xiongliang, an alumnus of the CIMS Center of Tsinghua University and the initiator of the Ecological Public Welfare Day of the Global Village Network, the planner of the activity, told the media, "On Earth Day in 2015, Tsinghua University alumni and netizens from all over the world of the Global Village Network launched the action of claiming deserts and planting trees voluntarily. They have successively organized more than 700 volunteers to plant more than 30,000 saplings, covering about 600 mu. Mi Hongzhuo, Deputy Head of Wushenqi People's Government, Liu Ping, Chairperson of the Women's Federation of the Banner, and Lü Qi, Director of the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of the Banner, also came to the Maowusu Desert to participate in the tree - planting activity when they heard the news.

Deputy Head Mi Hongzhuo and National Model Worker Yin Yuzhen issued honorary villager certificates to the ecological public welfare netizens of the Global Village Network and Tsinghua alumni. In her speech, she hoped that the majority of netizens and volunteers would take the Maowusu in Wushenqi, Ordos City as their home and often come back to have a look with their friends, classmates and netizens.
