On May 16, a delegation from Guizhou province attended the China (Guizhou)-Thailand Cultural and Tourism Business Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand. During the meeting, the Guizhou representatives presented the growth of their local cultural tourism sector and expressed a desire to strengthen collaboration with various Thai institutions and tourism enterprises. They hope that Thailand will become a “Global Partner of Colorful Guizhou,” sharing in development opportunities.

洽谈会结束后，泰国国家旅游局局长塔佩妮（Thapanee Kiatphaibool）于16日在社交媒体上表示，泰国政府将推出“2025年泰国大旅游与体育年”的盛大庆典，旨在提升来自贵州省游客赴泰国的数量，并建议贵州省推动包机和贵阳直飞泰国的航线。

Following the conference, Thapanee Kiatphaibool, the Director of the Thailand National Tourism Bureau, shared on social media that the Chinese government has great confidence in Thailand's potential. She announced that the Thai government plans to celebrate the "Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025," which aims to increase the number of tourists from Guizhou to Thailand. Additionally, she suggested that Guizhou should consider promoting charter flights and direct routes from Guiyang to Thailand.

Thapanee also emphasized that this meeting is a significant step in enhancing Thailand-China relations, especially as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations. The Thailand Tourism Bureau is ready to collaborate within the framework of the Thailand-China Tourism Relationship Promotion Association to foster lasting friendships and support the sustainable development of Thailand's tourism industry as they aim for global recognition by 2025.
