Validity: Usually 6 months, and in a few countries, 3 months. The effective time starts from the date of issuance, not the date of certification.

Issuance and Certification: It must be issued by the police, security, court, notary office, or other relevant departments of the applicant's country of nationality or habitual residence (the country or region where the applicant has resided continuously for more than one year after leaving the country of nationality). It needs to be certified by the embassy or consulate of the country of nationality in China or the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad. If the applicant's passport country is a member of the Hague Convention, a Hague certification should be obtained.
