The Wave Residence (named after its owner), located in the tree-lined Canonbury, is a two-story Edwardian style duplex residence. It is like a drop of water falling into the hustle and bustle of London, slowly expanding into circles of tranquility and peace. This is a spiritual haven created for a young couple who love nature. With a soft and almost Zen-like tone, it builds an urbanoasis.
室内由Fourteen A.M.设计，采用天然材料，强调可持续的设计理念，同时体现东方哲学的五个关键原则。其精致的内部以大胆的几何形状为特色，将有机的、质朴的元素结合起来。木材在光影下，有着深浅不一的表情。
The interior was designed by Fourteen A.M., using natural materials, emphasizing the sustainable design concept, and embodying the five key principles of Eastern philosophy at the same time. Its exquisite interior is characterized by bold geometric shapes, combining organic and rustic elements. The wood shows expressions of varying shades under the light and shadow.

Light and natural materials are of vital importance to me, as they reconnect us with the environment and create rejuvenating Spaces. Both light and outdoor views are directly connected to nature, while organic materials constantly remind us of the existence of the Earth.

步入住宅，抵达精心设计的“玄关”（Sanctuary Portal），设计师Winnie Tam巧妙运用空间的节奏变化，使玄关既具缓冲性又有引导性。Clayworks柔和的泥灰墙面与Iroko实木构件交织，形成一种由喧嚣进入宁静的感官场域——仿佛开启一段短暂的冥想，回归自我。
Entering the residence and arriving at the elaborately designed "Sanctuary Portal", designer Winnie Tam ingeniously employs the rhythmic changes of the space, making the sanctuary both cushioning and guiding. The soft plaster walls of Clayworks interweave with the solid wood components of Iroko, creating a sensory field that transitions from the hustle and bustle to tranquility - as if embarking on a brief meditation and returning to oneself.
经过改造后，空间布局和使用方式与之前截然不同，入口走廊和客厅之间的墙体被打通，营造出更温馨的家居氛围。新的地下层分为两部分：一部分是主卧，配有独立卫浴和步入式衣帽间；另一部分设有家庭办公室、茶室（可改成客房）和淋浴间。
After the renovation, the spatial layout and usage are completely different from before. The wall between the entrance corridor and the living room has been broken down, creating a warmer home atmosphere. The new basement is divided into two parts: one part is the master bedroom, equipped with an independent bathroom and a walk-in closet; Another part is equipped with a home office, a tea room (which can be converted into a guest room) and a shower room.
“和室”（The Room of Harmony）即客厅区，空间有着一种无声的对话能力。家具的摆设旨在鼓励家人之间的自由互动，通过软性包裹材料实现对噪音的柔化，话语得以清晰而温和地流动。多情景的灯光设计会跟随需要而发生变化，令家人们的每一次相聚都在舒适与自在中展开。
"The Room of Harmony", namely the living room area, has a kind of silent dialogue ability in the space. The arrangement of the furniture is designed to encourage free interaction among family members. Soft wrapping materials are used to soften the noise, allowing words to flow clearly and gently. The multi-scenario lighting design will change as needed, allowing every gathering of the family to take place in comfort and ease.
定制的楼梯成为连接上下空间的诗性介质，百叶般的Lroko栏杆将天光细腻地过滤至地下层，使原本狭窄黑暗的空间焕发明朗气息。每一个脚步仿佛在进行一次轻盈的下沉，却并不显沉重，如水波微澜，层层递进。
The custom-made staircase serves as a poetic medium connecting the upper and lower Spaces. The Lroko railings, like louvers, delicately filter the natural light into the basement, breathing a bright and clear atmosphere into the originally narrow and dark space. Each step seems to be a light descent, yet it does not appear heavy, like the gentle ripples of water, advancing layer by layer.
“智域”( The Realm of Wisdom)即书房，它不仅是工作与学习的所在，更是Fourteen A.M.对专注与灵感获得的必要回应。简洁的浅色墙面、侧向自然光的书桌布局、一旁设有茶室作为冥想区，这一切并非有意装饰，而是营造适合独处与顿悟的精神场域。
"The Realm of Wisdom" is the study. It is not only a place for work and study, but also Fourteen A. The necessary response to concentration and inspiration acquisition. The simple light-colored walls, the desk layout with natural light on the side, and the tea room beside it serving as a meditation area - all these are not intentional decorations but create a spiritual space suitable for solitude and sudden enlightenment.
“梦谷”（Chamber of Restoration）即卧室，作为住宅中最隐秘也最私密的空间，被赋予了强大的抚慰力量。白色吊顶令灯光如晨雾，厚重布帘不仅遮挡视线，更吸纳着城市的杂音，使其如远处的浪潮一般轻轻摇曳。空间之中，视觉清简，储物隐匿，令身心获得真正的休憩。
"Chamber of Restoration", namely the bedroom, as the most secluded and private space in the residence, has been endowed with a powerful soothing force. The white ceiling makes the light like morning mist. The thick curtain not only blocks the view but also absorbs the noise of the city, making it sway gently like distant waves. In the space, the vision is clear and simple, and the storage is hidden, allowing the body and mind to truly rest.
Wave Residence并不追求炫目的绿色技术，而是通过低调且精准的设计手法——如视线引导、开窗位置、材质、来外部的自然光，使居住者在不经意间与室外建立连接。光也不再是提供明亮，而成为流动的时间注解。
Wave Residence does not pursue dazzling green technologies. Instead, it uses low-key and precise design techniques - such as line of sight guidance, window opening positions, and materials to bring in external natural light, enabling residents to establish a connection with the outdoors unconsciously. Light no longer provides brightness but becomes a flowing annotation of time.
Fourteen A.M.所信奉的，是一种慢节奏、深刻觉知的生活方式，Wave Residence像是一个关于“如何在城市中修复自己”的具体实验。到访者常常会感受到那种“浓烈的平静”，它是一种空间与身体产生共鸣后的深层回响。
What Fourteen A.M. believes in is a slow-paced and deeply aware lifestyle. Wave Residence is like a concrete experiment on "how to repair oneself in the city". Visitors often experience that kind of "intense calmness", which is a deep echo after the space resonates with the body.
