At the conference, **Yang Suzhen**, Vice General Manager of **Freda Bio-Technology Co., Ltd.**, delivered a keynote speech titled *"New Breakthrough in Synthetic Biology: Innovative Applications of Royal Jelly Acid (10-HDA) in Cosmetics,"* unveiling the company’s latest research achievements via its synthetic biology platform—bioengineered 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA) and its pioneering cosmetic applications.

福瑞达生物股份联合齐鲁工业大学破译了王浆酸生物合成的分子机制及代谢调控过程,筛选出参与合成王浆酸的关键基因,撬开了王浆酸产业化应用的“大门”,并完成首个王浆酸化妆品原料备案。

In collaboration with **Qilu University of Technology**, Freda Bio-Technology deciphered the **molecular mechanisms and metabolic regulation** of 10-HDA biosynthesis, identified key genes involved in its synthesis, unlocked the "gateway" to industrial-scale production, and completed China’s first **cosmetic ingredient filing** for bio-synthesized 10-HDA.

As a novel bio-manufactured raw material, Yang Suzhen highlighted that Freda’s R&D team, through transcriptome-based efficacy prediction, discovered 10-HDA’s triple skincare benefits: repairing epidermal barriers, delaying dermal aging, and balancing skin microbiome.

在本次大会举办的第十六届中国化妆品优秀学术论文评选中,以王浆酸生物合成技术和功效研究为核心的SCI论文《Biologically synthesized 10-Hydroxy-2-Decenoic acid activates cornified envelope formation via PPARα signaling, and regulates oxidative respiratory chain to improve mitochondrial function》从143篇参选文章中脱颖而出,获得优秀论文一等奖,同时该文章已于2024年10月成功发表在《Journal of function foods》杂志。

At the conference’s 16th Outstanding Cosmetic Academic Paper Awards , the SCI paper "Biologically synthesized 10-Hydroxy-2-Decenoic acid activates cornified envelope formation via PPARα signaling, and regulates oxidative respiratory chain to improve mitochondrial function"—centered on 10-HDA biosynthesis and efficacy—won the First Prize for Outstanding Academic Paper among 143 submissions. The study was published in Journal of Functional Foods (October 2024).
