但鲜少有人知道，这位“狗界顶流”的血统，竟是中国独有的世界级猎犬——下司犬，是贵州黔东南州麻江县下司镇特有犬种，也是我国唯一被国际公认的世界级猎犬品种。

Few realize, however, that this four-legged superstar represents a breed of exceptional pedigree: the Xiasi Dog. Hailing exclusively from Xiasi town in Majiang county, Qiandongnan prefecture, Guizhou province, it is China's only internationally recognized world-class hunting hound breed.

下司犬的幼崽看上去像只小萌猪，但其实有着卓越的灵敏性、优秀的捕猎协作能力。它们在深山老林中追逐野猪、围猎毒蛇，甚至能协作制服黑熊。

Despite Xiasi puppies resembling adorable "little piglets", this type of working dog possesses extraordinary traits, such as superb agility and exceptional cooperative hunting abilities. These dogs are renowned for tracking wild boars through dense forests, cornering venomous snakes, and even coordinating to subdue black bears.

下司犬有个好听的原名：白龙犬。犬头大、额宽平、腰平直、眼鼻红、足趾紧、尾直立。因其全身雪白，在山中狩猎时快速穿梭于林中，远远望去宛如白色长龙而得名。

Originally named the Bailong Dog, or White Dragon Dog in English, the Xiasi has a snow-white coat. Its name evokes the image of a white dragon, swiftly navigating forests during hunts. The breed features a large head, broad flat forehead, straight back, distinct reddish eyes and nose, tight paws, and an upright tail.

下司犬其貌不扬，实力强悍。据《重刊清平县志》载，贵州省凯里市自古便存在野猪、野山羊等大型野物。下司犬面对比自己体型大好几倍的野猪时并不怯场，不仅能够反杀野猪，并且还能够主动去捕猎，因此在野猪再次盗食粮食时，便让下司犬出去驱赶和猎杀野猪。野猪在下司犬的攻击之下死伤惨重，再不敢轻易下山，粮食和农田也得以保存，自此下司犬正式成为了当地人外出打猎时的忠诚伙伴。

Understated in appearance but formidable in prowess, historical records the Xiasi Dog's vital role in Guizhou's Kaili region. For instance, faced with wild boars and goats far exceeding their size, these fearless hounds not only held their ground but actively hunted. When boars raided crops, villagers released Xiasi Dogs to drive them off or eliminate the threat. With crops secured, the Xiasi Dog cemented its status as the indispensable, loyal hunting companion of local communities.
