这不是中世纪，而是2024年的印度。

针对女性的犯罪从每小时28起增加到51起，2024年继续激增。
更可怕的是，21世纪的印度，猎巫、活人祭祀疯狂上演。
她们被剃光头发、剥光衣服、脸被涂黑、割掉鼻子、拔掉“獠牙”、烙上烙印、被迫吃粪便、被私刑处死，根据国家犯罪记录局(NCRB)数据，十年间100多起活人祭祀，1200人死于猎巫。
但实际数字可能远不止于此，仅贾坎德一邦，平均每年上百起猎巫谋杀案，每三天就有一名女性被私刑处死，不致死的虐待更是不计其数。
与此同时，牛肉恐怖开始在这个国家扩散，无数人仅仅因为被怀疑杀了牛，或被怀疑吃了牛肉而被虐杀。
犯罪激增、人祭盛行、私刑泛滥……这一切，究竟是迷信，还是某种政治语言？
是宗教创造了人祭？还是人祭，创造了宗教？
你会为了一部手机，献祭一个孩子吗？
2016年10月24日，阿萨姆邦一女孩遭到毁容和肢解，这一切都是祈祷仪式的一部分，目的是为了找回一部丢失的手机。
为了手机尚且可以杀人，其他问题自然不在话下。
有哥哥姐姐为治愈瘫痪的弟弟献祭女孩；
有姑姑因经常与丈夫吵架，献祭自己的侄子；
有人为生男孩，将邻居家的女孩献祭给迦利女神；
有人杀害熟人家孩子并食用，以获得“特殊力量”寻找“隐藏的宝藏”。
在前现代世界和印度，人祭可以有一万种目的。
撕下祭祀的伪装，全是活人的欲望。
如何让人自愿赴死呢？
如果说前面的致命人祭是谋杀，让一个人相信自己肮脏、有罪、该死，则让凶手们脱罪于神的旨意。
宗教枷锁和社会期待（胁迫）下，寡妇“自愿”走上亡夫火葬的柴堆，被活活烧死，以给家族带来荣誉、减轻负担，也彻底断绝了自己继承财产的可能。
高级的人祭甚至不需要杀人，而是让人终身“功能性”献祭，成为“活着的供品”。
印度至今仍然存在大量神女，通过嫁给神祇，她们将“永远摆脱寡妇之苦”。
然而，义正言辞的背后肮脏不堪，她们是神的新娘，人的玩物。
相比于定期或不定期的致命活人祭祀，这些行走的供品活着，比死了更有用。
她们的存在，是为了时刻提醒人们，等级秩序，不可抗拒。
人祭社会印度到底有多少“女巫”呢？
10年猎杀了1200人，但可能还有数十万。
他们是谁？
98%是女性，其中97%又是达利特女性。
他们为何被猎杀？
在迷信的掩护下，往往是邪恶的利益动机，或者“逾矩”，甚至是拒绝性骚扰的惩罚。
尤其是寡妇不殉葬也就罢了，怎么还能拥有财产呢？甚至，还敢抢“圣人”的生意？
在遭受暴力后，如果侥幸没死，7成受害者不会报案，即使报案，6成不会得到解决。
因为，她们长期遭受种姓、阶级和性别三重压迫，天然被社会视作可牺牲的对象，无须太多证明，甚至让被压迫者相信，自己命该如此。
猎巫与人祭尽管看似不同，但本质都是借助宗教语言合法化，维系“秩序”的替罪羊暴力。
人祭是以正面目的为名的“交换”逻辑，“献祭你会让我们更好”；
猎巫则是歇斯底里的惩戒性人祭，“我们不好，都是因为你！”
而当这两类暴力，部分或完全脱离宗教范畴，进一步延伸就成了无处不在，但更加隐蔽的社会性人祭：
童婚是寡妇殉葬这种人祭形式的提前化；
荣誉谋杀则是另一种猎巫，一旦女性“玷污”家族名声，就要用杀戮恢复尊严。
嫁妆少了要被羞辱，不顺从要被泼硫酸，穿牛仔裤要被惩罚……
孤立地看，这只是性别暴力，但达利特男性骑摩托要被砍手，
盘腿坐要被杀，试图跨种姓通婚也会被荣誉谋杀：
人祭并不分男女，只是在祭祀链最底层的达利特女性，被献祭地更频繁。
在这样一个暴力常态化、以人祭为运作逻辑的社会中，人祭不再是宗教仪式，而是群体控制与恐吓的工具。
它真正膜拜的不是神，而是杀人的权力。
纯洁与牛如何证明一部分印度人的纯洁呢？
通过区分，与诛杀“不洁”者。
种姓和性别歧视，都是通过这种区分合法化，宗教歧视，也是。
月经的女性不洁，所以禁止进入厨房、寺庙，不能碰书，不能触碰家中的男性成员。
甚至要冒着被蛇咬死、被流浪狗、野猪袭击的风险，
流放到摇摇欲坠的月经棚3天，而产妇要被流放3个月。
达利特不洁，所以他们是不可接触者，负责清理粪便和屠宰。
然而，牛是神圣的。
杀牛的人，应该被处死。
不吃牛的人，成了吃人的人。
2014年印人党的胜利，令“圣牛保护者”们感到“力量倍增”，印度护牛私刑暴增。
仅仅是被怀疑带了牛肉，就可以向汽车扔汽油弹，任意凌辱、性侵威胁，暴打72岁的老人，枪杀学生，不管是不是牛，是什么牛，先打死再说。
受害者大多是穆斯林和基督徒，当然还有达利特。
暴力的独占权本应属于国家，私刑的泛滥，显示出国家的无能，但，仅仅是无能吗？
对统治阶层来说，默许、纵容甚至煽动暴力，至少存在政治动员、转移矛盾、巩固统治三方面的利益。
研究表明，宗教暴力是政治动员的低成本工具，选举前一年的宗教暴力事件，可以使印人党的得票率提升5-7个百分点。
当权者操纵种姓、性别和宗教暴力，精准将群众怒火引向边缘群体，避免矛头指向自身，社会有了可控的“泄压阀”：
制度性边缘化之下，“人牲”随手可得。
底层间的横向互杀，代替了对权力的垂直对抗。
狰狞欢呼的人群，精心设计的杀戮，血腥场面的极致运用……
日复一日的暴力轮回中，种姓牢笼反复加固，传统秩序披上民主的外衣，人祭，成为唯一的社会运作方式。
任何反抗，都会遭到血的报复：
顺者安，逆者死，黑暗纪元，永无终止。
