Recently, XAG unveiled its latest achievement in ground intelligent agricultural equipment—unmanned ground vehicles. With the release of supportive policy for the low-altitude economy, XAG is accelerating its globalization layout. In the main rice-producing regions of Southeast Asia, drones combined with satellite remote sensing technology have established an intelligent early warning network for plant diseases and pests. In the sub-Saharan region south of the Sahara in Africa, XAG uses a cluster of drones to prevent desert locust disasters, protecting an average of 500 hectares of crops per day.
For agricultural scenarios where drones are difficult to fly or cannot fly effectively, unmanned vehicles have become a better choice. The newly released R100 and R200 unmanned ground vehicles, with their compact width and lightweight all-aluminum alloy structure, can maneuver flexibly in narrow planting rows as narrow as 2 meters. In challenging conditions like muddy roads, obstacle courses, and mountainous terrains with slopes of up to 20%, the unmanned vehicles can even transform into off-road vehicles, ensuring the feasibility of operations in complex environments.
"On an intuitive remote controller with a screen, users can open the map and directly mark the operation path. By drawing the operation path on the map, the unmanned vehicle can operate fully automatically," explained Peng Bin, founder and CEO of XAG.
Located near the Liantang Ancient Village in Huangpu District, Guangzhou, the XAG "Super Farm" serves as a showcase of the company's cutting-edge technological achievements. In the "Super Paddy Field" project, XAG is actively exploring a fully unmanned mode for rice cultivation, ranging from unmanned land preparation and drone precision seeding to pest and weed control based on intelligent recognition. Each step demonstrates how technology can effectively address the shortage of rural labor, aiming to provide a replicable unmanned production template for over 3.9 million small and medium-sized family farms in China.
