"Thanks to the high quality of my blueberries—large, sweet, and juicy—they can fetch up to 80 yuan per jin right at the start of the season. Blueberries are sensitive to both waterlogging and drought. From planting and fertilizing to harvesting, maintaining the right temperature and humidity is crucial, and that wouldn't be possible without a stable power supply," said Zhou Ruoxuan, head of the Jiushu Blueberry Picking Garden, as staff from the State Grid Lishui Power Supply Company visited the farm on June 20 to inspect its electrical equipment.

Currently, blueberry harvesting is at its peak. Rows of ripened berries, glowing with a rich purple hue among green leaves, are plump and luscious, enticing visitors with their vibrant appearance. At Jiushu Blueberry Picking Garden, eight varieties—including 'O’Neal' and 'Blueberry No. 1'—have ripened in succession. The fragrant, sweet fruits have drawn a steady stream of tourists eager to pick them.

In recent years, blueberry cultivation has seen rapid development in Lishui, becoming a new channel for increasing local farmers’ income. The State Grid Lishui Power Supply Company has designated these blueberry farms as key clients, closely monitoring their power usage. It regularly dispatches personnel to inspect distribution equipment and power lines, providing guidance on scientific and safe electricity use.

The Jiushu Blueberry Garden spans over 120 mu (approximately 8 hectares), with the picking season running from mid-May to mid-August. “This is a crucial period for harvesting, packaging, and selling the berries. If there's any power problems, don’t hesitate to call—we’ll be there right away,” said one of the employees after checking the power system of the cold storage facility.

Electricity is a fundamental guarantee for agricultural production. As rural economies continue to grow, electricity demand is steadily increasing, and the rural revitalization strategy places even higher demands on power supply. In recent years, the State Grid Lishui Power Supply Company has earnestly implemented the directives of rural revitalization.
