假如说到春节，你会想到收红包，年夜饭，放鞭炮，串亲戚等等，那么你只了解了春节的一部分，本期内容将让你全方位了解春节的所有事。

我们都知道春节中最重要的一天是大年三十，也就是阴历的腊月三十，而整个春节从阴历腊月二十八开始就做起了准备直到阴历正月十五才算真正过完了年。

人们在节前会做哪些准备呢？

首先是扫房Clean the House,扫房意味着扫走霉运为来年的好运腾出空间sweep away the bad luck and make room for good fortune in the coming year.

之后就是用红色的装饰品来布置家居，比如灯笼lanterns, 对联couplets, 剪纸paper cuttings, 还有生肖年画Images of the year's Chinese Zodiac animal。当然还有一些带有特殊意义的装饰，比如倒贴福字paste Fú Character Upside Down,寓意福到了blessings have arrived。

人们在除夕会做什么？

What do people do on Spring Festival's Eve?

大家会吃团圆饭Reunion Dinner，常见的年夜饭包括饺子dumplings--寓意财富wealth,鱼fish--寓意富足有余abundance,面条Noodles--寓意长寿long life，还有年糕 Glutinous Rice Cake--寓意年年进步有成improvement and success every year，橙子和橘子Oranges and Tangerines--寓意财富与圆满wealth and completeness.

除夕还少不了看春晚Watch Spring Festival Gala，欣赏音乐、喜剧小品和文化表演enjoy music，comedy sketches，and cultural performances.

家人坐在一起会有一些娱乐活动，一些家庭会打扑克牌play traditional card，也有一些家庭喜欢玩麻将play mahjong。

除夕免不了守岁Stay Up Late，大家会熬夜到午夜stay awake until midnight，来辞旧迎新send off the old year and welcome the new one.

人们在春节期间做什么？

What do people do during the Spring Festival？

大家会穿新衣Wear New Clothes，通常是红色的，寓意新的开始和好运a fresh start and good fortune. 孩子们会收到红包Red Envelopes，寓意好运健康good fortune and health.

春节期间也会有一些社会活动，比如舞龙和舞狮Lion and Dragon Dances，寓意带来好运，驱走邪灵bring good luck and drive away evil spirits. 很多地方会放鞭炮Set Off Firecrackers，寓意驱走邪灵，欢欢喜喜迎接新年scare away evil spirits and welcome the new year with joy.
