A grand ceremony to pray for blessings was held under a millennium-old China fir, an iconic natural attraction at Chang'anying Town, Chengbu County, on January 25. Many local people as well as tourists were attracted to the ceremony, where they participated and made their New Year wishes in celebration of the upcoming Spring Festival.

This China fir was shortlisted for the "China's Ten Most Beautiful China Firs" in 2023. It was cultivated by the ancestors of local Dong people 1,607 years ago.

Colorful folk customs performances were staged in addition to the traditional rites of praying. Dances and songs with local characteristics showcased the unique cultural charm of Chang'an Town, winning rounds of applause from the audience.
