In the global wave of industrial transformation, Guangdong has embraced a development path that synergizes industry and technology, vividly illustrating its commitment to building a modern industrial system. In 2024, Guangdong's regional GDP reached a new milestone of 14 trillion yuan, maintaining its position as China's top economic province for 36 consecutive years. This achievement is a testament to Guangdong's innovation-driven development strategy.

Guangdong's regional innovation capability has topped the nation for eight consecutive years, with the "Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Guangzhou" tech cluster ranking second globally in innovation indices. The province is home to approximately 77,000 high-tech enterprises. In 2024, the production of new energy vehicles (NEVs) surged by 48%, accounting for one-fourth of the national total, while industrial robot output grew by 31.2%, capturing 44% of the national market. These figures highlight the remarkable transformation of Guangdong's traditional manufacturing sector, empowered by technological advancements.

Guided by national strategic demands, Guangdong is actively constructing a modern industrial system and deploying major innovation platforms. Ten national major scientific infrastructure projects have been established, providing robust support for innovation.

Facing the global wave of emerging industries, Guangdong has laid out its future industrial landscape. In the low-altitude economy, DJI drones have captured over 80% of the global civilian drone market with their superior technology. EHang's electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft has secured the world's first set of airworthiness certifications. Guangdong's artificial intelligence industry is firmly positioned at the forefront of the nation, while its NEV sector has achieved core technology breakthroughs, maintaining the largest scale in China for seven consecutive years. The province has also made early moves in biotechnology and new energy storage, breaking the technological monopoly of Western countries and leading the whole China.

Looking ahead, Guangdong will continue to pursue a dual-strength strategy of industry and technology, accelerating its journey towards becoming a global innovation hub. In the construction of a modern industrial system, the province will keep writing new chapters of high-quality development, contributing Guangdong's wisdom and strength to China's economic progress.
