China National Petroleum Corporation announced on February 20, 2025 that it has completed the drilling of the deepest vertical well in Asia, as a borehole reached a depth of 10,910 meters below the surface. The vertical well, the second deepest across the world, is known as "Shenditake 1".

2025年2月20日，中国石油集团宣布，我国首口超万米科探井——深地塔科1井日前在地下10910米胜利完钻，成为亚洲第一、世界第二垂直深度井，并先后创造了全球尾管固井“最深”、全球电缆成像测井“最深”、全球陆上钻井突破万米“最快”、亚洲直井钻探“最深”、亚洲陆上取芯“最深”等五大工程纪录，这是我国继“深空”“深海”之后，在“深地”领域取得的又一重大进展。深地塔科1井于2023年5月30日开钻，成功钻取我国首份地下万米岩芯标本，在陆地万米深层全球首次发现油气显示。万米深地，是国际公认的解决生命起源、地球演化等重大科学问题的前沿领域。上世纪60年代，国外展开对地球深部的探索，终因技术等问题以失败告终。90年代，全球垂深最深井历时23年钻至12262米。深地塔科1井从地表到钻抵万米，仅耗时279天，是全球陆上钻井突破万米速度“最快”。作为入地的重要手段之一，超深钻井被称为深入地球内部的“望远镜”。深地塔科1井，成为我国向地球深部进军的标志性工程。

近年来，我国不断向地球深部进军，多次刷新深地开发纪录，为实施万米深井工程提供了充分的基础条件、技术储备、经验积累，也为继续刷新“中国深度”奠定基础。直面世界级地质和工程技术难题，中国石油塔里木油田、西部钻探、宝石机械等多家单位联合攻关，推进我国深地产业链的自主性和安全性得到极大提升。万米深井的成功钻探，标志着我国特深井关键核心装备和技术，通过了万米地下极端恶劣工况环境的检验，为我国向地球深部进军提供了坚实的装备保障。
