Musk used a well-known meme format depicting a person kneeling before a tombstone. He superimposed Trump's face onto the figure in the image and branded the tombstone with the Department of Education emblem. But beneath the emblem, he mistakenly wrote: "Departmen of Education", omitting the final "T" from "department".

还有网友认为，成功的国家尊重并重视教育工作者，而美国却嘲笑他们。

据《华尔街日报》报道，为缩减联邦机构规模，特朗普政府正考虑通过行政手段解散美国教育部。特朗普20日还在白宫发表讲话说，除核心的必要功能，政府将“采取一切合法手段关闭教育部”，并将“尽快关闭它”。
