State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company took proactive steps to provide reliable and secure power supply for the event, fully supporting the high-quality development of the local cultural tourism economy.
The event featured a wide range of activities including an opening ceremony, cultural performances, intangible cultural heritage experiences, and an interactive “Nezha” theatrical performance, drawing tens of thousands of visitors to this immersive celebration that blends tourism, ecology, culture, and leisure. To ensure the smooth operation of the event, the company planned ahead and deployed a comprehensive power protection strategy. Full-coverage special inspections: Fifteen days prior to the event, the company launched thorough safety inspections targeting substations, power lines, distribution transformers, and electrical facilities within the scenic area. Nine hidden risks, such as overheated connections and insulation aging, were identified and promptly addressed. Four outdated switches were replaced. Accurate load forecasting: Considering the power demands of stage lighting, sound systems, LED screens, and interactive installations, the company calculated the peak load in the core activity area and restructured grid operations by shifting the load of three heavily burdened circuits to nearby substations, ensuring ample power reserve. On-site standby with zero distance: Two emergency power generation vehicles were stationed at the venue, while a 28-member power supply support team maintained round-the-clock presence, committed to responding to any emergency within 5 minutes and completing issue resolution within 30 minutes. Localized safety outreach: Young volunteers were organized to assist with crowd control, answer electricity-related queries, and distribute user-friendly electricity safety brochures to merchants and tourists. EV users were guided on the proper use of charging stations, collectively building a safety net for power usage during the event.
