On the afternoon of March 30th, the Zhuying Film Salon will be held at the mixing studio of the Guangdong 4K Film Production Center under the Pearl River Film Group. Co-organized by Pearl River Film Group and Yangcheng Evening News, the salon will feature a screening and discussion session for short films by young directors. For the first time, a selection of youth short films supported under the 2024 Maritime Guangdong Program will be showcased to local industry professionals and specialized audiences in Guangdong, followed by a post-screening dialogue with participating young directors and creators.

The Maritime Guangdong Program ("Maritime Guangdong" Young Director Support Program), hosted by Yangcheng Evening News Group, aims to discover, incubate, select, and cultivate talented young Chinese filmmakers from both China and abroad. Based in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), the program seeks to uncover emerging voices in the field of filmmaking, supporting creators to explore short films in various genres including narrative, documentary, and animation. The goal is to expand the imagination of future Chinese cinema and allow the world to rediscover China through the power of film.

The short films being screened were funded by the Yangcheng Evening News Group and completed in 2024. Shot across various cities in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, the films cover a wide range of topics and styles, showcasing the vibrant creativity of young filmmakers. After the screening, the directors and creators will engage in an interactive exchange with the audience.

As the cradle of Lingnan cinema, Pearl River Film Group has produced high-quality films deeply rooted in regional culture and contemporary themes, such as "Waves on the South-China Sea," "The House of 72 Tenants," "The Great Wave, Yamaha Fish Stand," and "Dr. Sun Yat Sen." The Maritime Guangdong Program emphasizes regional cultural identity and socio-ecological values, continuously mining the richness of Lingnan culture. It empowers the new generation of creators to draw inspiration from the Lingnan region, innovatively narrating local stories. This salon aims to provide young filmmakers with valuable industry networking opportunities, encouraging them to thrive in the dynamic cultural landscape of the GBA while showcasing the unique charm of Lingnan culture.

The salon is also a key event of the 2025 Chinese Language Geocinema Festival hosted by Yangcheng Evening News. From March 28th to 30th, the festival will present a series of activities, including short film screenings, film masterclasses, film critique workshops, documentary workshops, campus film screenings, themed photo exhibitions, art markets, and avant-garde art forums, offering Guangzhou audiences a vibrant springtime celebration of cinema. 山海计划将走进珠影，助力青年电影人筑梦湾区

3月30日下午，珠影电影沙龙将在位于广东广州的珠江电影集团广东4K电影创作中心混录棚举行，由珠影携手羊城晚报，举办青年导演短片放映和交流活动。活动将首次面向广东本地行业嘉宾和专业观众展映2024年羊城晚报山海计划扶持拍摄的一组青年短片，并邀请到多位山海计划青年导演和主创参与映后交流。

山海计划（全称“向山海走去”青年导演创作扶持计划）是由羊城晚报报业集团于2023年发起主办的对海内外优秀华人青年导演进行挖掘、孵化、选拔和培养的大型人才扶持活动，活动立足粤港澳大湾区，面向全球寻找影像创作领域的新锐力量，支持他们探索剧情、纪录、动画等不同类型的短片创作，突破和展开对未来华语影像文化的想象之路，也让世界通过影像重新发现中国。

此次展映的多部短片由羊城晚报报业集团提供资金扶持，于2024年拍摄制作完成，取景地遍及粤港澳多个地市，题材多元、风格多样，展现出青年电影人旺盛的创作力。映后环节，青年导演和主创们将在现场和观影嘉宾进行交流。

珠影是岭南电影的策源地，曾推出《南海潮》《七十二家房客》《大浪淘沙》《雅马哈鱼档》《孙中山》等富有岭南特色、紧贴时代脉搏的高质量影片。山海计划坚持追求影像文化的地域特色和社会生态价值，连年深耕岭南文化富矿，支持新生代创作者深入岭南大地取材取景，创新讲述本土故事。此次交流活动致力于为青年电影人提供宝贵的行业交流机会，鼓励优秀的新生代创作者扎根粤港澳大湾区这片充满活力的文化热土，发掘并展示岭南文化的独特魅力。
