On March 25th, the world's first deep-sea aquaculture vessel with a natural water exchange system, "Bay Area Lingding", was officially named. Scheduled for delivery in June this year, it marks the beginning of a new era of smart aquaculture. Construction of "Bay Area Lingding" began in April 2024, with a total investment of approximately 260 million yuan. As the world's first and China's pioneering large-scale deep-sea aquaculture vessel with natural water exchange, it integrates smart aquaculture, energy conservation, environmental protection and a blend of fishery and tourism.

The vessel measures 155.8 meters in length and 44 meters in width, and it is equipped with 12 independent aquaculture tanks, providing a total water volume of 80,000 cubic meters. Its annual production capacity ranges from 3,000 to 5,000 tons, equivalent to the yield of 5,000 mu of land-based fish ponds. Equipped with electric propulsion systems, it has a cruising range of 2,000 nautical miles and can autonomously locate optimal farming areas in the South China Sea while avoiding typhoons, maintaining self-navigation capabilities even on the movement of typhoon with winds up to level 12.

The vessel pioneers a natural water exchange technology that combines solar and wind energy to reduce operational costs and enables zero-carbon aquaculture. It employs intelligent robots for net cleaning, remote feeding and harvesting, and AI-driven data analysis for scientific feeding management.

Its upper deck provides activities such as fishing and educational programs, accommodating up to 199 visitors. By linking with island tourism, it introduces a new "fisheries and cultural tourism" model.

"Bay Area Lingding" primarily operates in the Wanshan Archipelago waters of Zhuhai, cultivating high-quality seafood such as golden pomfret. Zhuhai boasts a diverse range of aquaculture products, with an output exceeding 40,000 tons last year, a 15% year-on-year increase. The city has made significant strides in marine ranching, establishing 1.15 million cubic meters of deep-sea aquaculture capacity, a figure expected to surpass 2 million cubic meters this year.

世界首例会移动的“深海粮仓”:“湾区伶仃”号来啦!

3月25日,全球首艘水体自然交换型深远海养殖工船“湾区伶仃”号正式命名,预计今年6月交付使用,开启智慧养殖新时代。“湾区伶仃”号2024 年4月开工建造,总投资约2.6亿元,是世界首例、国内首创的水体自然交换大型深远海养殖工船。其集智能养殖、节能环保、渔旅融合于一体。

该船总长155.8米,型宽44米,设有12个独立养殖舱,养殖水体8万立方米,年产能3000—5000吨,相当于5000亩陆地鱼塘产量。配置电力推进系统,续航2000海里,能在南海自主寻找养殖区、躲避台风,具备12级台风下自航能力。

工船独创水体自然交换技术,结合太阳能、风能,降低运营成本,实现零碳养殖。通过智能机器人清理网衣,远程投喂、收鱼,借助AI和大数据分析科学喂养。

养殖舱上部平台配套垂钓、研学等功能,最多可登船199人,联动海岛旅游,打造“渔业+文旅”新模式。

“湾区伶仃”号主要在珠海万山群岛海域作业,养殖金鲳鱼等高品质海产品。目前,珠海养殖品种丰富,去年产量超4万吨,增长15%。在海洋牧场建设上成果显著,已建成115万立方米深远海养殖水体,今年有望突破200万立方米。
