The orienteering finals for the masses of China's 15th National Games kicked off on May 8 in Maoming, South China's Guangdong Province. The event marks the first mass sports competition of the 15th National Games, and features six major competitions, including orienteering for men's and women's teams, relay races, and radio direction finding team competitions, attracting 438 athletes and over 500 technical officials and support staff from 23 provinces (including autonomous regions and cities) across the country as well as the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions.

Man Chi-kin, Representative of the Hong Kong Delegation for Orienteering and Radio Direction Finding at the Mass Sports Events of China's 15th National Games, noted during an interview with SFC that he relished exploring different landscapes and environments through orienteering, and he was very looking forward to experiencing the beautiful city of Maoming after the race.
