Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Investigation and Research Center released the "Report on Guangdong's AI Industry (2025)" which reveals that 1,500 core enterprises have formed an innovation matrix in the province, with a 220 billion yuan industrial scale as the backbone of "intelligent manufacturing in Guangdong." Guangdong ranks first in China in terms of the number of specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprises in the AI field.
From Mindray Medical and Tencent jointly creating the world's first large model for clinical applications in critical care, to UBTECH Robotics holding the global lead in valid patents for humanoid robots, Guangdong's AI pioneers are proving themselves with the "three Guangdong" core credentials, including "born in Guangdong", "nurtured in Guangdong", and "integrating technology into the industrial chain in Guangdong".
According to the report, Guangdong's AI industry is a global leader in terms of innovation strength and market share, with Shenzhen and Guangzhou both ranking among the top 50 global cities for AI innovation. Domestically, Guangdong leads in industrial growth rate, total number of enterprises, and quantity of large-scale enterprises.
In terms of industry infrastructure, Shenzhen has built "Ten Major AI Clusters," forming a multi-core industrial layout. Guangzhou has cultivated key AI hubs, including 19 research institutions and 12 industrial parks. Dongguan has established multiple regional hubs for the AI industry, including Songshan Lake, Binhaiwan Bay, and the Waterfront Economic Development Zone. Foshan has constructed a layout of "one hub + multiple bases," with the Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City as the Bay Area's AI manufacturing industry hub, and supportive bases like the Foshan Beijiao Robot Valley, Midea KUKA Smart Manufacturing Park, and the China (Guangdong) Robot Integration Innovation Center.
In terms of promoting the expansion of emerging industries, Guangdong's "seven leading enterprises in robotics" have achieved deep integration of AI technologies with their respective specialized fields, Such as intelligent manufacturing, humanoid robots, high-precision control, international market competition, and the full industrial chain layout. For example, DOBOT Robotics applies AI technology to products like collaborative robotic arms, Making them more flexible and efficient in completing complex tasks, solidifying its global leadership in collaborative robotics.
In terms of technological innovation driving the expansion of application scenarios, Guangdong has made remarkable research achievements in cutting-edge fields such as swarm intelligence, brain-inspired intelligence, embodied AI, and human-machine hybrid intelligence. It has also made significant breakthroughs in key common technologies such as unsupervised natural language processing (NLP), artificial swarm intelligence, and AI security technologies, opening up new possibilities for the application of AI technology in more complex and special scenarios.

广东AI“小巨人”数量全国第一
近日,广东省省情调查研究中心发布的《广东省人工智能产业发展研究报告(2025)》显示,广东1500家核心企业组成创新矩阵,2200亿元的产业规模托起“广东智造”脊梁;广东AI领域专精特新“小巨人”企业数量全国第一。
从迈瑞医疗与腾讯共同打造全球首个面向重症领域临床落地的大模型,到优必选的人形机器人有效专利数全球第一,广东AI军团正用“三个广东”的硬核履历说话:在广东出生、在广东求学、在广东把技术烙进产业链。
根据调研报告,广东省人工智能产业创新实力、市场份额等位居世界前列,其中深圳、广州两市在全球人工智能最具创新力城市中排名前五十。从国内市场看,广东人工智能产业规模增速、企业总量、大型企业数量等指标均为国内首位。
在产业载体方面,深圳打造了“十大人工智能集聚区”,形成多核心产业布局;广州已培育包括19家科研机构+12个产业园区的人工智能重点载体。东莞市形成了松山湖、滨海湾、水乡等多个人工智能产业发展的区域支点;佛山市构建“一高地多点支撑”的布局,以三龙湾科技城为湾区人工智能制造产业高地,以佛山顺德机器人谷、美的库卡智能制造科技园、中国(广东)机器人集成创新中心等为人工智能孵化创新支撑。
在促进新兴产业扩张市场方面,在智能化生产、人形机器人应用、高精度控制、国际市场竞争以及全产业链布局等领域,广东的“机器人七剑客”实现了人工智能技术与各自专业领域的深度整合。例如,越疆机器人在其协作机械臂等产品中运用AI技术,使其更加灵活、高效地完成各种复杂的工作任务,进一步稳固了其在全球协作机器人市场的显著地位。
在技术创新推动应用场景拓展中,广东在群体智能、类脑智能、具身智能、人机混合智能等前沿领域以及无监督自然语言处理、群体自主无人智能技术、人工智能安全技术等关键共性技术方面取得了丰硕的研究成果,为人工智能技术在更多复杂和特殊场景下的应用开辟了新的可能性。
