The 2025 National Nutrition Week campaign and the "Bringing Health Science to Every Household" initiative officially kicked off on May 17th at the Canton Tower Square in Guangzhou. This year marks the 11th National Nutrition Week, running from May 17th to 23rd, and the 10th anniversary of the campaign's launch. During the week, more than 800 organizations across Guangdong will host over 10,000 public awareness activities.
This year's campaign creatively integrates the theme of the "Year of Weight Management" with elements from the upcoming China's 15th National Games, promoting dietary health and physical fitness in tandem for the first time. At the event, various interactive zones were set up, including displays on AI-powered health management, free nutrition consultations, public awareness booths, and showcases of local specialty foods, drawing large crowds of residents.
Thirty medical institutions offered free consultations on weight management and nutritional health at the event. Meanwhile, 33 participating enterprises showcased products with geographical indications and achievements in rural revitalization. Among the highlights were regional specialties such as the lychee mushroom ("King of Lingnan Mushrooms"), Tomentose Pummelo Peel ("Southern Ginseng"), tofu skin with soy milk from Lianshan, pomelos from Meizhou, beef meatballs from Chaozhou, and Amomum villosum Lour from Yangjiang, many of which are recognized as products of intangible cultural heritage.
Liu Liqun, Party Secretary and Director of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, emphasized that nutrition is not only a matter of health, but also vital to population quality and socioeconomic development in his speech. He urged local health departments to actively promote healthy dietary habits, guide the public toward balanced nutrition, and support the transformation and upgrading of the food industry toward a focus on nutrition and health.

广东2025年全民营养周活动启动
5月17日,2025年全民营养周主题宣传活动暨“健康科普进万家”活动在广州塔广场正式启动。2025年5月17日-23日是第十一届全民营养周,今年也是全民营养周创办十周年。营养周期间,将组织全省800余家机构开展超万场科普活动。
本届活动创新融合“体重管理年”与第十五届全运会元素,首次实现饮食健康与体育运动联动宣传。活动现场设置了AI健康管理展示、营养相关义诊咨询、科普宣传、地方特色食品展示推介等多个体验区,吸引众多市民现场互动。
活动中,30家医疗机构提供体重管理、营养健康相关义诊咨询服务。33家参展企业集中展示地理标志产品与乡村振兴成果。“岭南菌王”荔枝菌、“南方人参”化橘红、连山的腐竹豆浆、梅州的柚子、潮州的牛肉丸、阳江的春砂仁……这些地理标志产品、非物质文化遗产美食纷纷亮相。
广东省卫生健康委党组书记、主任刘利群致辞时强调,营养不仅是健康问题,还事关人口素质和社会经济发展。各地卫生健康部门要积极倡导健康饮食理念,引导群众选择营养均衡的食品,推动食品产业向营养与健康转型升级。
