Flight LJ891 carrying 177 passengers, operated by the Jin Air, departed from Jeju, South Korea, and arrived at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport at 23:57 on May 13.

This Zhangjiajie-Jeju air route was resumed after a nine-year suspension, becoming the seventh international air route between Zhangjiajie and South Korea after those to Incheon, Busan, Daegu, Cheongju, Muan, and Yangyang.

The Zhangjiajie-Jeju route is scheduled to operate nine flights in May and June 2025, on every Tuesday and Friday. The flight departs from Jeju at 21:35 and arrives in Zhangjiajie at 00:20 the next day, and the return flight leaves Zhangjiajie at 2:25 the following day and lands in Jeju at 05:05. All times specified are in Beijing Time.

Currently, the Zhangjiajie Airport handles over 80 international passenger flights weekly, with South Korea-bound flights accounting for 70% of the total. As of May 13, the airport has recorded 167,000 inbound and outbound passenger trips, marking a 7% year-on-year growth. Foreign travelers comprised 96.7% of the inbound and outbound passengers, while South Korean travelers making up 75% of the foreigners, followed by Thais and Malaysians. The foreign travelers come from 39 different countries.

Additionally, the airport has managed over 1,050 inbound and outbound flights, increasing by 11% year on year. These flights connect to 16 destinations in seven countries and regions, including South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia, and Hong Kong SAR.
