A representative from Nasser Hospital said one of her children and her husband were injured but survived. A CGTN stringer in Khan Yunis interviewed the doctor's brother-in-law, Ali al-Najjar, at the site of the tragedy. He said the explosion was deafening and shook the entire area. By the time he arrived at the doctor's home, it had been reduced to rubble.
