今天是牧民吉日嘎拉第一天使用北斗卫星放牧系统，心中既兴奋又忐忑。一年前，他就听说了我国已经自行研制出“高大上”的科技成果一北斗卫星可以用来放牧，觉得特别新鲜，于是四处打听，参观学习，抱着试试看的想法，从自家养的100多头牛中，选出七八头牛，在牛的脖子上装上北斗项圈，通过北斗系统的定位功能，拨打北斗项圈中内置的手机卡号码，掌握牛群的位置。看着手机屏幕上不停闪烁的牧群移动的提示信息，吉日嘎拉心中的一块石头落了地，踏实了。
