"Combination for Healing" and "One Strategy for Combating Enemies": Debate over Traditional Chinese Medicine's orthodoxy and efficacy
In the vast ocean of medicine, traditional Chinese medicine has become a remarkable science with its unique theoretical system, rich treatment methods and deep cultural heritage. However, in the inheritance and development of Chinese medicine, the debate about "combine to cure" and "eliminate the enemy by one means" is like an undercurrent in the waves, which sometimes appears and draws deep thought.
"Confusion to cure" is the crystallization of ancient Chinese medicine wisdom. In classical texts such as the Analects of Huangdi, it is not difficult to find that the ancient people often adopted a combination of methods for the treatment of diseases. Acupuncture, herbs, massage, canning, cooking... These seemingly complex treatment methods, in fact, contain the profound insight and meticulous application of traditional Chinese medicine to the physiology of the human body. The ancient people believed that diseases were the result of the interaction of multiple factors, so treatment should also be approached from multiple perspectives to achieve the purpose of "reconciling yin and yang, draining the meridians, and helping to correct and eliminate evil."
However, in modern society, with the accelerated pace of people's lives and the rapid development of medical technology, "fighting the enemy" treatment seems to be more popular. Patients often want their doctors to be able to quickly and accurately find the cause and give them simple and effective treatment. In this context, "consolidation and cure" seems to be somewhat cumbersome and complicated, and is even seen by some as "Mongolian doctors shooting birds."
So, between "conflict to cure" and "eliminate the enemy with one stroke," who is the orthodox Chinese medicine? Who better reflects the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine?
In fact, there is no absolute answer to this question. Because the essence of traditional Chinese medicine lies in "dialectical treatment," i.e., formulating a personalized treatment plan according to the specific condition, physical condition, environment and other factors of the patient. Sometimes one solution may solve the problem. Sometimes, a combination of approaches is needed to achieve the best possible outcome.
For example, for a cold patient, if the symptoms are mild, may only need to take some Traditional Chinese Medicine Patent Prescription or herbal medicine can recover. However, if the symptoms are severe and there are symptoms such as high fever, cough, coughing, etc., then a comprehensive application of acupuncture, massage, canning and other treatment methods is needed to achieve the goal of rapidly relieving the symptoms and improving the immunity.
Similarly, for some chronic or complicated diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cancer, etc., it is more necessary to adopt the "hybrid treatment" strategy. Because these diseases often have complex causes and long durations, it is often difficult for a single treatment to achieve significant results. Comprehensive use of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, massage, and psychological adjustment can more comprehensively regulate the physical and mental state of the patient and improve the quality of life.
Of course, we cannot deny the importance of fighting the enemy one at a time in some situations. For example, in emergency situations, quickly and accurately find the cause and give effective treatment, often can save the lives of patients. This does not mean, however, that we should lose sight of the value of "healing through a combination." Because in practice, "fighting the enemy one at a time" often needs to be based on deep medical foundation and rich clinical experience, otherwise it may cause misdiagnosis and treatment.
Therefore, for traditional Chinese medicine, "conflict to cure" and "eliminate enemies by one means" are not opposing, but complementary. Together, they constitute the rich and colorful therapeutic system of traditional Chinese medicine, providing patients with more choices and better efficacy.
In conclusion, I would like to say that whether it is "healing through combinations" or "fighting the enemy with one stroke," the most important thing is to stick to the patient-centered principle. The doctor should develop a personalized treatment plan based on the specific conditions and needs of the patient and focus on communication and communication with the patient. Only in this way can we truly realize the "dialectical treatment" and "individualized treatment" of traditional Chinese medicine, so that the wisdom and efficacy of traditional medicine can benefit more patients.
In this era of challenges and opportunities, let us work together to promote the prosperity of traditional Chinese medicine and let the ancient wisdom of traditional medicine shine even brighter in the new era!
