"Welcome to Guangzhou Vocational University of Science and Technology! Please allow me to guide you through the check-in process." On September 7th, the Guangzhou campus of Guangzhou Vocational University of Science and Technology was bustling with activity. Among the crowd were a group of "special staff members" — agile and futuristic embodied intelligent robots moving through throngs of people and enthusiastically interacting with freshmen and their parents.

This year, the university's Embodied Robotics Application Lab showcased multiple intelligent embodied robots and robotic dogs at the registration site. The robots engaged actively with students and parents by "shaking hands,""greeting," and offering a lively demonstration of the charm of AI.

Beyond robots, the university has continued to upgrade its long-standing "Internetplus mobile platforms" mode for digital orientation. New students can now complete the registration online in advance. Upon arriving on campus, they simply activate their campus smart card at a self-service kiosk, and within seconds, the card is linked to dormitory access, on-campus purchases, and other campus services.

广州一高校智能机器人“上岗”迎新生

“欢迎来到广科大！请让我为您指引报到路线……”9月7日，广州科技职业技术大学广州校区人头攒动，一群“特殊的工作人员”——身形灵动、科技酷炫的智能具身机器人，它们穿梭在人群中，与新生、家长热情互动。

今年，该校具身机器人应用工作室在报到现场展示了多台智能具身机器人和智能机器狗，与新生和家长“握手”“打招呼”等积极地互动，感受人工智能的魅力。

除智能机器人之外，该校持续多年使用“互联网+移动端”的数字化智慧迎新方式再度升级。新生可提前在线上完成报到流程，到校后只需在自助机激活一卡通，几秒便可“刷卡”完成宿舍权限、校内消费支付等功能的绑定。
