According to statistics released by the Guangdong Sub-Administration of the General Administration of Customs of China, Guangdong's total foreign trade (imports and exports) reached 6.21 trillion yuan in the first eight months of this year, marking a 4.2% increase year-on-year, 0.7 percentage points above the national average, accounting for 21% of China's total foreign trade value. Exports totaled 3.97 trillion yuan, up 1.9%, while imports rose 8.5% to 2.24 trillion yuan.

Private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises continued to show strong performance. During the same period, the import and export volume of private enterprises in Guangdong reached 3.99 trillion yuan, a 4.8% increase, accounting for 64.2% of the province's total trade. Foreign-invested enterprises posted 1.94 trillion yuan in trade, up 5.6%, with their share rising by 0.4 percentage points year-on-year to 31.3%. Since the beginning of the year, the foreign trade of foreign-invested enterprises in Guangdong has shown steady improvement, achieving positive year-on-year growth for seven consecutive months. Meanwhile, state-owned enterprises recorded 253.24 billion yuan in trade, a 15.3% decline.

Trade with major partners continued to grow at a robust pace. In the first eight months, ASEAN, Chinese Hong Kong, and the EU remained Guangdong's top three trading partners, with trade volumes of 1.02 trillion yuan, 782.62 billion yuan, and 747.83 billion yuan respectively, all registering faster-than-average growth and exceeding the province's overall trade growth rate. Over the same period, Guangdong's trade with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) reached 2.41 trillion yuan, up 4.3%, accounting for 38.9% of the province's total trade.

Mechanical and electrical products make up nearly 70% of total exports. Exports of integrated circuits, electrical apparatus, and computers and related components saw significant growth. From January to August, Guangdong exported 2.69 trillion yuan worth of mechanical and electrical products, a 7.3% increase, accounting for 67.9% of the province's total exports. Imports of mechanical and electrical products totaled 1.56 trillion yuan, up 15.2%, accounting for 69.6% of all imports. Specifically, imports of integrated circuits, computers and related components, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment reached 821.52 billion yuan, 239.96 billion yuan, and 52.89 billion yuan, respectively, with growth rates of 14.3%, 46.6%, and 50.6%. Meanwhile, agricultural product imports reached 148.65 billion yuan, up 4.2% year-on-year.

今年前8个月广东外贸进出口增长4.2%

据海关总署广东分署统计，今年前8个月，广东外贸进出口6.21万亿元，较去年同期（下同）增长4.2%，增速快于全国0.7个百分点，占全国外贸总值的21%。其中，出口3.97万亿元，增长1.9%；进口2.24万亿元，增长8.5%。

民营企业、外商投资企业进出口持续向好。前8个月，广东民营企业进出口3.99万亿元，增长4.8%，占进出口总值的64.2%；外商投资企业进出口1.94万亿元，增长5.6%，占比较去年同期提升0.4个百分点至31.3%，今年以来广东外商投资企业进出口持续向好，单月已连续7个月实现正增长；国有企业进出口2532.4亿元，下降15.3%。

对主要贸易伙伴继续保持较快增速。前8个月，东盟、中国香港、欧盟分别为广东前三大贸易伙伴，广东对其进出口分别达到1.02万亿元、7826.2亿元、7478.3亿元，均实现较快增长并高于广东外贸整体增速。同期，广东对共建“一带一路”国家进出口2.41万亿元，增长4.3%，占广东进出口总值的38.9%。

机电产品出口占比近七成，集成电路、电工器材和电脑及其零部件出口增长明显。前8个月，广东出口机电产品2.69万亿元，增长7.3%，占广东出口总值的67.9%。前8个月，广东进口机电产品1.56万亿元，增长15.2%，占广东进口总值的69.6%。其中，集成电路、电脑及其零部件、半导体制造设备分别进口8215.2亿元、2399.6亿元、528.9亿元，分别增长14.3%、46.6%、50.6%。同期，进口农产品1486.5亿元，增长4.2%。
