Research motivation: Although MCDM has significant advantages in assessing and quantifying the resilience of food supply chains (FSCS), existing research has not specifically focused on using decision analysis models to improve the resilience of FSCS. A resilient FSC helps organizations more effectively redesign, recover, and control food safety violations and outages.

Research innovations: In order to improve the efficiency, consistency and reliability of FSC elasticity evaluation, BWM and MARCOS methods based on utility function were introduced to solve the limitations of traditional evaluation methods in pair comparison, result consistency and uncertainty processing. The BWM method was chosen because it requires lower pairwise comparisons and produces results with higher consistency than other traditional methods. Introduce the MARCOS method, a ranking method based on utility function that produces more reliable results than the traditional MCDM ranking method, and use triangular fuzzy numbers to incorporate the ambiguity and uncertainty of expert opinions in uncertain environments. At the same time, the importance of fuzzy set theory in expanding the application of MCDM method and improving the flexibility of evaluation system is emphasized. The applicability and feasibility of the proposed method is verified by an empirical analysis of a real case in Andalusia, Spain.
