At the 2025 Guangdong Provincial High-quality Development Conference, we interviewed Huang Yu, the General Manager of Guangwei Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Guangwei Technology).
Guangwei Technology is a "specialized, refined, and innovative" enterprise in Guangdong, focusing on the production of optical modules, optical chips, and LiDAR products. Regarding the U.S. tariff increase, Huang Yu stated that while the additional tariffs on Chinese products do have some impact on traditional industries, they have little effect on China's high-tech and high-end products, as these are unique and difficult to replace in the short term. "Our high-end products, such as the 1577nm DML laser chip, have broken foreign monopolies," he said. By improving the quality of industries and products, the impact of tariffs can be minimized.
"Even though there is a lot of uncertainty in the current international environment, we remain positive," Huang Yu said. He cited the example of DeepSeek, which, despite being suppressed by foreign entities, has managed to open-source its technology to the world, earning the respect of international peers. Huang Yu expressed that Guangwei Technology will also adhere to this spirit, actively exploring and open-sourcing, using technology and sincerity to impress customers, and standing at the forefront of technology to earn the respect of the world.

光为科技是广东一家“专精特新”企业，专注于生产光模块、光芯片以及激光雷达产品。针对美国加征关税这一举措，黄愚表示，美国对中国产品加征关税是对传统的产业确实有一定的影响，但这对我国的一些高科技的高端产品影响不大，因为高端产品是独一无二，短时间内很难被取代。“我们的高端的产品，比如1577纳米的DML激光机芯片，就打破了国外的垄断”。通过提升产业和产品的质量可以让关税的影响降到最低。
“即使目前国际环境有很多不确定性，我们依然保持积极的态度。”黄愚说。他举例说，现在最火的DeepSeek，即使被国外打压，但依旧做到为全世界开源，赢得国外同行的尊敬。黄愚表示，光为科技也会秉承这样的精神，去做积极的探索和开源，用技术和真心去打动客户，站在技术的制高点，赢得全世界的尊敬。
