BEIJING, March 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday called for building a community with a shared future for humanity at a press conference.

An increasing number of countries have participated in the building of a community with a shared future for humanity, with over 100 countries supporting the three global initiatives, namely, the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative.

Wang added that over three quarters of countries across the world have joined the family of the Belt and Road cooperation.

Wang made the remarks when answering a question about the influence of the "America First" policy of the United States.

If every country stresses "my country first" and is obsessed with a position of strength, the "law of the jungle" would reign the world again, with smaller and weaker countries bearing the brunt first and international norms and order severely undermined, Wang said.

A major country should honor its international obligations and fulfill its due responsibilities, Wang said.

History will prove that a real winner is the one that keeps in mind the interests of all. A community with a shared future for humanity will ensure that the world belongs to every country, and that everyone will have a bright future, Wang added.
