The Marine Innovation Industrial Park (Phase I), located within the Xiamen Marine High-Tech Industrial Park (referred to as the "Ocean Hi-Tech Park"), is expected to become operational within two years. Commencing construction on November 22, 2024, the project spans a total land area of approximately 81,906 square meters, with a gross floor area of 212,178 square meters. It includes 15 general-purpose factory buildings and ancillary facilities, representing a total investment of RMB 1 billion. Xiamen is intensifying efforts to advance high-quality development in its marine economy, accelerating the creation of a national marine economy demonstration zone that balances marine resource utilization and ecological protection. By the end of 2025, Xiamen aims to complete the first phase of the demonstration zone’s construction, establishing and summarizing replicable and scalable exemplary practices. By 2035, the city plans to evolve into an internationally distinctive marine hub, and by 2050, to fully emerge as a globally competitive maritime metropolis.

Recently,the first batch of supplementary filings for 2024-recognized high-tech enterprises in Xiamenwas announced. An additional 49 companies in artificial intelligence, electrical engineering, network technology, and related sectors have obtained supplementary certification approval. This brings Xiamen’s 2024 tally of nationally certified high-tech enterprises to 1,709. Certified enterprises are eligible for municipal fiscal incentives, tax benefits, and access to science-financing products such as national high-tech loans and loan interest subsidies. They may also qualify for operational incentives in science-focused zones, educational support for employees’ children, and startup funding for overseas returnees, among other preferential policies.
近日，国家高企认定办发布了《对厦门市认定机构2024年认定报备的高新技术企业进行第一批补充备案的公告》。厦门市又有49家企业获国家高企认定办补充备案批复，涉及人工智能、电气、网络科技等行业。厦门市2024年通过国家高企认定办备案认定的高新技术企业达到1709家。入选高新技术企业备案名单的企业，可根据相关规定，获得市级财政奖励资金、税收优惠，享受国高贷、贷款贴息等科技金融产品，同时还可享受科学城经营奖励、子女就学、留学人员创业扶持资金资助等一系列优惠政策。

The Xiamen Winland IFC, a provincial and municipal key project situated in the Cross-Strait Financial Center, recently completed construction with a total investment of RMB 6 billion. Spanning approximately 50,000 square meters and boasting a gross floor area of 500,000 square meters, the complex was designed by Stefan Krummeck, Chief Architect of UK-based TFP FARRELLS, who oversaw its entire development cycle. The center integrates four core functions: office towers, cultural and artistic commercial spaces, an art-inspired design hotel, and serviced apartments. It uniquely blends public art installations and a "Music Festival Plaza" into its natural landscapes. The project aims to attract headquarters of domestic enterprises, globally renowned investment banks, securities firms, financial institutions, and TMT (telecom, media, and technology) companies, positioning itself as a vibrant hub for modern financial services.

As China’s first international rail route originating from a pilot free trade zone, the China-Europe (Xiamen) Railway Express continues to gain strong market traction. In the first two months of 2025, Xiamen Customs supervised the dispatch of 33 China-Europe (Xiamen) freight trains, marking a 200% year-on-year increase. Launched on August 16, 2015, this route—the first in China to join the EU-China "Smart and Secure Trade Lanes" (SSTL) initiative—has expanded from a single line to seven operational routes. It now connects over 30 cities across 13 Belt and Road partner countries, serving as a critical logistics corridor linking Japan, ROK, Southeast Asia, and the Eurasian hinterland.
作为全国首条由自贸试验区始发的国际班列线路，中欧（厦门）班列深受市场追捧。今年前两个月，厦门海关累计监管中欧（厦门）班列发运33列次，同比增长200%。作为首条加入中欧“安智贸”项目的国际班列线路，中欧（厦门）班列自2015年8月16日开行以来，立足区位和政策优势，从单一线路扩展至7条运行线路，辐射13个“一带一路”共建国家的30多个城市，为日本、韩国及东南亚各国打通联通欧亚腹地的国际物流通道。
